My very slender daughter who takes an 8 in most high street stores can't fit into size 12 H&M jeans.

Quizzed Mrs G about her H&M experiences and all the stuff she has is size XS, whatever that means.
  • Woah - I have just tried the booborbust calculator kindly posted by Harry's nan...

I have gone from one extreme to the other; have others found it at all accurate?

they have a lot of members on the facebook page and a lot of people seem very pleased with the results. It a starting point. I had to go up a band size and down a cup size, which was perfect. After a few washes, I really think I should have gone for the size they said.

  • Thanks harrys nan.

As this is an anonymous forum, I'll reveal my results. I believe I am a poorly fitting 36A, the calculator says 30F! When did the "new" sizing method come in? Feeling like I've missed a memo...

Going back to OPs point (sort of) no wonder I thought bra sizes stocked these days aren't realistic!

Thanks for the link, harrys nan, but I think it's flawed.

    According to the link I'm a 32HH.

    That's nonsense.
I know that I cannot get a 34 bra fastened around me, let alone a 32.
I know because I still have some 34 bras that are too pretty to throw away and I've just tried to fasten them. :o
Well, it's nonsense unless I've misunderstood the terms 'tight' and 'snug'. :rotfl:

The cup size isn't too far out.
The last bra I bought was a 36G.

This is the first time I've heard of this 'new' way of measuring your bust size.

It's a pity I didn't realise I was wearing the wrong size bra - there's always lots of small back/big cup bras in M&S and Debenhams sale.

Who are 'Boob or Bust' anyway?

just go to a decent bra shop or buy online in that size and see what happens.I gave me a 34gg but I went for a 36g as I felt the 34 was too tight, but as I say, now I wish I had gone for the 34 as they do stretch. At the moment I'm trying to lose weight, so will use this method when I have lost some more weight
If you look on the facebook page, they have a list of stockists and lots of reviews re this method.

I know from the feel of my 36G bra - bought last week - that a 32 will not fit me.

32 is my 'tight' measurement - where you feel like the tape measure is going to snap.
Not a feeling I'd like to have all day.
