  • If you've a good smartphone camera, zoom in as best as you can and take a few photos, that's how I monitor things here; rather sad but I picked my phone for the camera capabilities.
If you do go the binoculars route, buy a set where they zoom in, not have fixed views; again no laughing but TomBo's present is a set and I tested them out the window, could clearly see one of estates!

I can't believe how much you've done in your home, definitely rest and have a nice bottle of wine to celebrate 😁

Is there another a1di or L1D1 nearby as those hearts are a must for December.

Good idea! I'll have a go when I'm done with work- one day left! I'll need the break before Jan- I've agreed to do overtime, which will go mostly toward my Emergency Fund.
Yes, there's another one about 30 min walk away near a Marksies, so I might have a venture out for some exercise if my nearest ones doesn't have them.
I've just finished a load of laundry so I've put my feet up to watch something festive.
    Today was a NSD!
  • Yaaay NSD and good luck with the heart hunt 🤗
Get through tomorrow and have a good rest afterwards and all the seasonal films, plays and anything else you want, with some nice wine and food, it's long overdue.

  • You are doing fantastically well. I'm also loving all the DIY advice over here.
One things for sure, you will have earned a rest and lots of Christmas treats :)

Got a voucher from my boss at work so I treated myself to some craft beers and (yes, yet more) mince pies and some crisps. Unfortunately the cap from one of the beers punctured one of the cans, so I had a salted caramel porter before 4pm XD
I managed to get the last, if slightly squashed, packet of dark chocolate lebkuchen hearts from A!d!. I also replaced some tonic as I had been *ahem* quality testing the gin ahead of Christmas last night.
I did my last blood donation of 2020 this afternoon and I've cleaned the bathroom and the floors for tomorrow.
I've ordered a few bits for the house- a rug with has colours to compliment the living room (a sort of triangle pattern). The website I used had 20% off. I also looked round the bedroom this morning and decided it needed some coving before I started decorating it. It's the only room in the house that doesn't have it, but you can see the adhesive marks from where it used to be. I can put a picture rail up after it's painted to get nice clean lines, but I'd rather the coving be attached to wall and not lining paper. Also got a proper angled brush to make cutting in easier, some decorating caulk and adhesive. I got a £5 discount for signing up for a newsletter.
Just need to unload some washing now and then it's tea and telly!
    Merry Christmas, everyone!
  • 4pm is a good time for QCing beer 😁
Phew, Christmas isn't the same without the hearts and you've earned them. Maybe leave one out for Santa 😉

Rug sounds great and maybe the coving will be in the sales.

    Have a great Christmas!

  • There's no such thing as too many mince pies. It is literally 'not a thing...'
