  • I haven't posted for a couple of days because I was feeling quite low. I think losing the furry moron has triggered some feelings connected with losing my mum. The one year anniversary is coming up and that's got emotional triggers :(.

I was also feeling disappointed that I wasn't asked to do any more TA cover at school despite two TAs being away. Apparently someone is back from holiday and so I was no longer needed :( (who goes on holiday in the term time?). I did begin to wonder whether I need to look at other schools. However I've decided to keep volunteering and doing my lunch time job for now until I get my qualification. Then I need to decide whether to keep volunteering here and do the higher qualification, or whether to look at other schools.

However DS2 is back home from South America today so that has been a welcome distraction. We collected him from the station about half an hour ago. It's lovely to have him back home and it will be one less thing to worry about :). It was hard telling him the furry moron had died though :(.

DS2's room looks much nicer too as it's cleaner and tidier and the holes in the wall have been filled in. Next time he goes away we'll try and finish the job, but about half of his room is clean, tidy and cleared.

Hi HHD :) Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit low but with your Mum's anniversary coming up and also losing the furry moron it's quite normal to feel a bit down.

Good to hear that DS has arrived back safely. Are all 3 at home now? A houseful of men will certainly keep you busy :) DD went on holiday with her friend and hubby's Dad passed while she was away. That was horrible news to break to her when she returned home but I know she'd be equally upset if it were her dog.

I wouldn't overthink the TA situation and would carry on doing what you're doing for the time being. They know what you're capable of and have been impressed enough to ask you to cover a class already so I'm sure your time will come.

Enjoy the rest of your day xx
  • Thank you TF2, you always have something nice to say. Perhaps I am over thinking the TA situation.

Yes all three boys are home now. It's really nice to have them all here :). Luckily DS2 mostly buys his own food and we can ask him for his keep for July too. He brought DH and DS1 a birthday present from Mexico, and gave DH and I a holiday present from Mexico too :).

I can definitely overthink things at times but talking it through and hearing a different perspective always helps me. That's why I'm still carrying on with my diary thanks to everybody's input ;) xx

Perfectly put by TF2 , I am sorry to hear you aren't feeling great , anniversaries of loved ones are always hard :A. At least all your family is back together now , so you have them to lean on.

I did wonder if losing the furry moron would trigger memories of your mum. Anniversaries are so hard. I lost my mum almost 19 years ago and the anniversary is still hard - especially as it's the same date as Princess Diana died, just 3 years later. So it brings it right back when it's all in the media. Strange that my mum adored Diana and was gutted when she died.

Glad all your boys are back :)

Once you get your qualifications maybe you can think about applying elsewhere for more pay/hours.

Always best not to overthink, no good ever came of it xx

Thanks SA :). Yes anniversaries are hard and do trigger all kinds of dormant feelings of grief :(. I'll be at school in the morning luckily so that will be a distraction.

Yesterday was good at school although very hot! I needed to down a glass of water after standing in the hot sun during my lunchtime job.

When I got home I felt tired but restless, so I ironed four pairs of summer trousers and five tops. I feel like I'm getting on top of the ironing now :T although I'd like to do some more on Sunday. I also washed some beddiing and dried it in the garden.

Today I'm going to go into town briefely to drop some things at the charity shop. DH and DS1 are going to the pictures to see a film I'm not bothered about seeing. I don't want to sit in a cinema on a warm sunny day anyway.

It will feel strange not having to clean out the furry moron today :( but I supppose it will free up more time to do other things.

I hope everyone has a good Saturday :).
