. The school office said they have a bit of a TA crisis at the moment and would I be able to do TA cover on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings
. So I said "Hell yes!" or words to that effect :rotfl:. My cunning plan is working and I'm weasling my way in :T :rotfl:.
So my goal this weekend is to rest, get over my cold and make sure I'm fighting fit on Monday morning.
I had college this morning and it was my penultimate tutorial. It was on how children play so it was interesting. So two more assignments, one more tutorial, one more school visit and I'll have finished the course :T. The tutor hinted that I wouldn't need the one to one sessions planned for the summer, as they were designed for people who need help to catch up. So I'll have effectively finished the course by the end of July
. I wonder if I'll have to wait until October to formally receive the qualification .
After the tutorial I did my lunchtime job and it was lovely sunshine. Then I was given the good news about the TA cover so I'm feeling really excited and elated now despite my cold. My long term plan seems to be working
.
I hope everyone is having a good Friday.
Sounds like your cunning plan is indeed working !! Great news, Baldrick!
Is a PPA day the same as what used to be called a 'Baker' day, and then an 'Inset 'day ?
A new hip is what is promised. Looking at Youtube videos made by various hospitals on what to expect post-operatively, one nurse said you have to be prepared to do less than you normally do whilst recuperating. As it would be pretty well impossible to do any less than I currently do (!!), I'm taking that statement with a cellarful of salt.0 -
Thank you Elizabeth
.
No PPA is time that the teacher is given once a week during the school day to prepare lessons, etc, so two TA's teach a class during that time.
I hope your new hip makes you pain free, it should do I think. It sounds like it will hugely improve your quality of life.

Happy Saturday everyone
.
I met stepdad for coffee this morning, dropped some things at the charity shop, bought some fruit and bagels, then came home. Spends were £1.60 on my bus home (DH dropped me in town) and £8.70 in Mr T.
I'm very pleased with myself for avoiding clothes shops and shops selling homewares, despite walking past several.
I came home and hung some clean laundry in the garden to dry, put another wash on and hung that out to dry as it's been a lovely sunny day. Then I cleaned out the furry moron.
Apart from that I just rested as I felt quite tired from my cold. DH and I didn't sleep well last night as DS2 was changing locations and we wanted to make sure he arrived in his destination safely. After that our moment of feeling sleepy had passed and so we tossed and turned a bit. :mad:Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Yay, great news on the TA position Hairy,I'm so pleased for you, on the cold front I reckon it's working with children, the little darlings are hotbeds of germs and do love to share them, the first year I was in this job I was ill nearly all the time from different viruses, it's not so bad now as I think my immune system has come across most things😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940

Thanks OBL. My cold is feeling much better now luckily so it's not as bad as the last one I had.

I've had a quiet Sunday, just doing two lots of laundry and ironing some clothes for work. Apart from that I've been trying to relax, although my cold is feeling much better now :T. The weather has been bright spells and some heavy showers, so I've had to tumble most of the washing
DH has been busy sorting and cleaning in DS2's room and it does look a lot nicer in there so hopefully he'll be pleased.
Although DS3 is mostly in his room, I've bumped into him once or twice in the kitchen today and it's really nice to have him home for the summer. I do miss him when he's at uni.
It's been a NSD as we haven't left the house and we're cooking chicken, roast potatoes and roasted carrots for dinner, which is smelling very good at the moment.
I hope everyone is having a good Sunday.
