Morning HHD
Have a lovely day. No doubt your little ones will all be excited at the prospect of half term so lots of happy children today hopefully. xx 0 -
Great that you've already heard from him. I actually think they're all more sensible than we give them credit for. I'm convinced they act otherwise just so we do things for them :rotfl: xx
Thanks TF2
. You may have something there :rotfl:.elizabethhull wrote: »Both exciting and concerning in equal measure. No good telling you not to worry - you're a Mum, of course you'll worry, but at least he is pretty experienced by now. I hope that might mean you worry a little less.
More storage boxes augurs well for your continued de-cluttering. I have put 2 bags out for the charity collection this evening, in your honour !!!!
I wanted to vote, but I didn't want to (hobble) go and vote, so I chose, for the 1st time ever, to let myself off. Of course I SHOULD have sorted out a postal or proxy vote and it had just never occurred to me - mea culpa !
Both DD's, DSIL & DGS will be here over the coming weekend
One night DD1 & DSIL are cooking, and the other we are ordering in from an Indian restaurant. So I don't have to cook the main meals.
Thanks Elizabeth
. I'm glad you got some de-cluttering done :rotfl:. A postal vote would probably be a good idea for you next time around. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I feel really sorry for those of you with mobility issues especially after an active life. It must be really hard to cope but you all seem to be doing admirably:A
If/when the time comes that I'm unable to physically get to the polling station or if I was going to be away on holiday when an election is planned I'd apply for a postal vote, otherwise I'll keep on going in person. Whenever I've been a Polling Clerk (as this time) I've always been assigned a Polling Station that isn't the one I'm registered to vote at:( and as we have to be there by 6.30 to set things up I register for a Proxy vote. DH votes on my behalf as he too enjoys the actual voting in person process. What a couple of voting nerds we are:rotfl:. The actual process of going into the booth and placing a cross with the stubby pencils they provide is so satisfying somehow. So long as we carry on living in this house I have no excuse for not going as the polling station is in the village hall which is literally separated from our house by one bungalow:j. I always mean to measure the actual distance (I must be weird or something but I like to know things:rotfl:) but always forget:o.
Glad your son has safely arrived at his first destination, HH:T. As you say, you've taught him to be careful and he's very thoughtful by keeping in touch regularly. I know you'll miss him but try to relax now and let things take their own course until he returns. Enjoy your course and lunchtime job:beer:
Thank you Noella

I had college this morning, so a fifth assignment to do now; hopefully the tutor will have marked numbers three and four by then :rotfl:. School went well and the children were excited about half term coming up
.
It's been such a busy week that I felt a bit flat when I got home. But I do have plenty of plans for half term. I've got a LOT more de-cluttering to do, I want to pack away our winter clothes and wash and iron some summer ones, I want to make an early start on my fifth assignment, and we'd like a couple of days out at NT places ideally. Also some friends are going to be in our neck of the woods on Sunday so we're going to meet them for coffee. So I don't think I'll have time to get bored :rotfl:.
It's pay day tomorrow  so I'm planning to buy £50 worth of premium bonds, put £30 in the Christmas account and put £100 in my EF.
I hope everyone is having a good Friday
