I would be more worried about him blocking the Hoover lol xx

It's a very tiny mouse, so I'm not sure whether it would block it, but it wouldn't be a good thing for it to be clogged up with  :rotfl:.

I think you need to talk to DS3 about how he and his computer travel back and forth to uni given how much work it’s making for you, and what it’s costing. I’m sure he can come up with something.

You’ll get the mice sorted eventually. I’m hopeless with traps and use poison (the pasta bait thanks to a tip from redofromstart ages ago), but when I had a major infestation my DB used traps while I was travelling and was very successful - he baits with raisins dipped in peanut butter! Apparently the raisins are quite hard to remove, and peanut butter is irresistible. I can’t set traps that are sensitive enough to catch mice, but I do have an electric one...

In other news, there was a rat on my mum’s patio in the middle of the day - luckily a friend was visiting and her jack russell spotted befor we did and dealt with it. I had to finish it off and remove it. So I dumped it outside the barn full of [STRIKE]rat[/STRIKE] pheasant food that’s attracting them. They’re not taking poison as they are too well fed, but the farmer isn’t affected (just everyone else in the village) so doesn’t care.

I’ve been inspired by your decluttering, and have done a lot of sorting out while at my mum’s. I think she’s in shock, but it’s dealt with a lot of stuff that has been bothering her.

DS3 did offer to give us the petrol money Greenbee and as it turns out there's a family do in that direction too, so we're killing two birds with one stone this weekend :).

I wish we had a Jack Russell! A rat on your mum's patio isn't good . Apparantly the council pest control will come for free if you have rats, but not for mice.

We could try raisins dipped in peanut butter on the traps. A piece of bagel caught the big mouse, but this tiny one must be a baby and was too light to spring the trap but still ate the piece of bagel. We do have some bait boxes and poison so must try those. We also need to block up holes on the outside of the house.

I'm glad you've caught the de-cluttering frenzy :rotfl:.

  • I reached my 65th Birthday at the beginning of April 2019 and I was assured that the tax free monies due would be with me between 5-7 days later, this didn't happen. I enquired and was told politely that the monies would be in my bank at the end of today- 26th. I was then told that it could be in the bank by Monday 29th April at which point I was fuming. I received an email half an hour ago to say that Aviva knows 'it's in the system' to be paid.
During the lifetime of this policy, I can't remember Aviva offering me deferred payment options so why the delay. Anyone else on the Forum had these problems?
  • I'm afraid that I don't know anthing about pensions Sandy Kite. Why don't you ask your question on the pensions forum? I expect someone there will know the answer to your question. This is the debt free wannabe forum so we don't know much about pensions.
