A piece of bagel caught the big mouse, but this tiny one must be a baby and was too light to spring the trap but still ate the piece of bagel. We do have some bait boxes and poison so must try those. We also need to block up holes on the outside of the house.HairyHandofDartmoor wrote: »I'm glad you've caught the de-cluttering frenzy :rotfl:.

I'm glad you've managed to combine the two trips - at least it makes the expense feel less somehow as you get more benefit. And well done to DS realising what it costs. I hope the trip is uneventful.
My mum was tempted as there's a new litter locally, but she'd have to wire the garden fence which would be a major expense. It would also be a tie when she wants to go away. Sadly her council don't do free rat pest control - and I think most places won't in rural areas where sloppy agricultural practices are usually the cause. They charge £32.40 and use boxes and bait, which we know won't work. The local mole lady has put down traps, but because there is so much food available they're not coming in to the garden to feed - just to socialise
Redo's point about chocolate spread is a good one. And yes, you need to block up holes. I had to cut down all the climbers growing up the house the year after I moved in as it turned out they were mouse ladders to the attic.
Hopefully my mum will appreciate it when she's recovered
Enjoy your weekend road trip!
Thanks Greenbee. to mouse ladders :rotfl:.
