Didn’t think I’d ever do it, but I’ve got to the end....I’ve been reading through the roller coaster of your diary for a couple of weeks. What a journey you have been on - so sorry to hear of the loss of your mum.
Well done on the ppi and having a savings pot.

I work in a school supporting children with send but have done nursery nursing and been a ta in the past so appreciate how you like a ‘dry’ playtime. I work in the classroom all day diving my time between a couple of classes and over lunchtime too with a 15 minute break so know what you mean about being on your feet. I find I can get all sorts done in the school holidays too - bare minimum during term time . I’ve slipped a bit recently as I’m waiting for surgery on a bad arm - but I usually spend the first few days blitzing the whole house so I can enjoy some nice days relaxing knowing everything is sorted. Then I often paint a room or give myself a project each summer holidays. For a while I had a 2nd job supporting some of the children from school via an agency in the holidays - taking them to nice places for a couple of hours each week - I loved doing that as it filled the gap when my own flew the nest and I didn’t know what to do with myself...then my grandchildren came along and I didn’t want to tie my holidays up but it worked for a while.

You have come a long way on your journey :T:T

Oh my goodness Milann what a marathon read, you deserve an endurance medal :rotfl:. Thank for reading all of my diary and for posting :).

I think DH and I have come a long way, although it's been a hard journey and we're still travelling. LIfe is like a journey though isn't it? Or a story. When my mum died I found myself thinking that her story was over and that seemed really sad as she had a very interesting life and was such an intelligent person who was interested in life. Although she lives on forever in my mind.

Your job sounds very interesting and must be challenging at times :). I can see why you wanted an occupation in the holidays, it is weird to be so busy in the term time and then have a complete break. Although it does allow you to catch up with life admin. I hope I have grandchildren one day. I will definitiely need a summer project but luckily our house and garden need a lot doing to them so I won't have any shortage of choices :).

Do you have a diary Milann?

  • I slept for ten hours last night but I woke up with a horrible headache this morning :(.

I didn't do my volunteering this morning but just did my lunchtime job because I still felt so tired. DH gave me a lift there because I felt too tired to walk and I'm going to skip Pilates tonight :o. I hate feeling this tired so I'm looking forward to feeling back to normal.

My plans for this afternoon involve doing nothing at all so that I feel better tomorrow.

Although I did give NP0w3r some meter readings online so that our bill is accurate. I'm glad I made it into my lunchtime job though as it's very awkward to be off and I'm not ill, just exhausted.

When I'm back to full strength I want to carry on de-cluttering and be a lot more frugal with our spending, as the weekend away cost a lot of money. Two full tanks of petrol as well as lots of spending on food and coffees :(.

Don't feel guilty. I find if I don't pull back when I am exhausted I then get ill so I think you did right.
I was due to do an exercise class tonight but I am too tired after a 2 mile walk so I'm going to rest and go next week.

    Have a relaxing evening :)

  • Thanks DIA :). I've been missing loads of Pilates classes recently but it can't be helped. I hate feeling like this, I want to be on my A game but instead I'm on my Z game :(.

At least I know what's causing it. DH and I think that another time we should stay in a hotel for a night so that we feel less tired, as it's no joke getting this exhausted and it impacts upon our work. So if we save a pot for things like that then that would be a good thing.
