Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thank SA. We're burying her ashes. It could have been done six months ago, but a few relatives couldn't make the funeral so stepdad delayed the interment until now so they could attend that instead. As you say it will bring it all up again and I'm really not looking forward to it
. It's not how I would have done it
.
Anyway after that hopefully I can start to move on a bit, or at least stop thinking about it. My coping strategy at the moment is keep busy and don't think about sad things, which is fairly effective. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

It does work to keep busy and not over-think. The minute you start thinking it's fatal, that's how I cope xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hope all goes as well as it can do.

Thanks Beanie. It's next weekend, so I'm not going to think about it much until I have to.

DS2 is home :T. His plane was late and then his coach was late, so I haven't seen him yet. Poor DH had to fetch him from the coach station at 3am  so DH is still in bed catching up with his sleep. It will be lovely to have the whole family home :T.
I'm meeting stepdad for coffee this morning. I've only seen him twice in the past six weeks. I hope he doesn't spend the whole time talking about the interment.
After that I have some clothes to drop off at the charity shop and then I'll have a little wander around and have my Costalot latte.
I have lots of housework planned for this afternoon. I'm really behind with the laundry so may have to tumble some if it doesn't stop showering with rain. I've nearly caught up with DS3's mountain of dirty laundry that he brought back with him, but now the rest of us are running out of clothes, and DS2 is back with all of his dirty laundry . So I'm going to be a Washerwoman this week :rotfl:.
I feel a bit like I'm catching a cold so I need to take some eccinacea and nip it in the bud. I'm not at work for two weeks but I have lots of housework, de-cluttering, and homework I need to do. Plus DH will probably need some help preparing for his work with the new client. So I don't feel as if I have time to be ill!
I hope everyone has a good Saturday.

How lovely to have you all together ! Only downside is the washing, that makes you wonder how you managed when they were all at home. I swear washing piles breed in the hamper/basket/box !! 'Washerwoman' makes me think of Toad in 'The Wind in the Willows' escaping prison dressed as a washerwoman !
Have a good laundryful Saturday anyway !0
