I love hearing about your many current successes - the job, the PPI, DH's sale, sons at home, money in the bank, all so well deserved, and not before time, but you know the one I like best ?
It's that clothes horse !!! In its own practical way it seems to epitomise an optimistic future.0 -
Well done to DH :T
This is the one I've got - it's several years old now so probably isn't available. It would have been the cheaper end of the budget.

Good idea INOD. Although DH wants to get a cooker from Arg0s now. Is Top Cash Back the best one to join?elizabethhull wrote: »I love hearing about your many current successes - the job, the PPI, DH's sale, sons at home, money in the bank, all so well deserved, and not before time, but you know the one I like best ?

Thanks Elizabeth. Well the clothes horse is useful

I had a fun day at school. There was lots going on today. This is what I love about working in a school, no two days are ever the same. We had dry playtime too
.
I walked home, got changed, ate lunch and then dashed into town with DH. I paid my H@lifax cheque in finally :T and DH actually found three shirts that we both liked and that fit him, which is a minor miracle :T. So he is now more suitably kitted out for his visits to the new customer.
Now I'm recovering a bit before my shower and cooking dinner.
DH has decided that the best oven for us is from Arg0s. It's the top end of our budget at £320 but it's self cleaning which sounds brilliant and will save us a lot of time. It will also slot into our existing cupboard and just plug in so no need to pay anyone to fit it. It's a H0tpoint which is the same model we have now. Once we order it it will be delivered next day so it sounds idea :T.
As we can get the oven delivered and useable so quickly we won't bother buying the combi microwave (or not yet anyway) which will save money :money:.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Glad you're getting a new oven
Argos are great for their speedy, convenient deliveries, well worth the £3.95 charge. Brilliant customer service too if anything goes wrong, replacement straight away and no questions asked.

Oh a self cleaning oven, jealous!
I think getting the oven is a more economical idea than getting the combi, though they are handy for a backup or smaller meal."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
