Glad to hear your weekend with BIL went so well.

Loving the new diary title :T

Can’t help laughing at the traffic cone maybe you put some light round it and a star on top for Christmas, although with a policeman next door maybe not:D

  • The wedding is next weekend . I have a black dress to try on, but if I'm too tubby for that I have black trousers in a variety of sizes ;) and a black jacket that I could wear with a red blouse to brighten it up. I'm determined not to buy anything. The men already have black suits and white shirts, so that's them sorted. We'll look like the Men in Black :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:..

I’m sure you won’t look like the Men in Black Hairy! :rotfl:

Great that you’ve amended your title! :j I think our titles are both stating the same sort of thing but I’ve a very, very strong feeling that you are going to be much more successful on this frugal/scrimping lark than me!:D

Either the Men in Black or the m.a.f.i.a :rotfl:

Our diaries do have a similar goal now don't they SSG :).

I don't have much choice when it comes to frugal living, but I'm sure you do it very well :).

He's a police detective so hopefully rounding up misappropriated traffic cones is beneath him :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Today is going to be a housework marathon, but I can relax this evening with dinner and red wine at my parents' house :D.

I want to clean the sink and bath, wash and bleach the shower curtain, clean inside the microwave and make a start on sorting out DS2's rubbish mountain. Also wash some clothing as the laundry baskets are filling up.

I need to get a lot done this weekend as next weekend we will be away at the wedding.

It should be a NSD in theory. Have a great Sunday everyone :).

  • Well everything is done except the microwave! I need to rest my back now.

I went through six of DS2's rubbish bags and reduced them down to two. I found a few things with his name and address on which can go in the shredding pile. I also found a pair of trainers, a tee shirt and a sweatshirt which can go to the charity shop. I found a roll of sticky tape, plus £4.14 in small change which can go in my change jar as my reward for a horrible job .

It's like an icky lucky dip going through his rubbish. I've decided that if I sort through two bags a day the mountain will slowly reduce.

I'm going to need my red wine tonight!

  • That really made me laugh, I have the same with SSs room when he clears it. Its always profitable :p
  • Glad it's not just my DC redo. I wonder how much money I'll find in the other 16 bags? :rotfl:
