I go away for the weekend & come back to pages & pages of your great PPI news. And then I think oh no the bookkeeper in me needs to says something - not going to cost you a penny honest. Don't forget to tell your accountant about the interest. It isn't tax free (well it is really but this is HMRC we are talking about) it is taxed at 0%. So it needs to be counted as income from interest. Obviously this only applies if the accountant deals with your income too.
  • There are some rude people on the PPI reclaiming forum :(. This is why I never usually stray from DFW.

Boo to the rudeness of people, I too never tend to stray away from this side too.

Congratulations on the refund, how exciting xx

Thanks Badmemory :) and thanks for the info about tax :).

I only got the letter on Saturday and then discovered the money had been in my account for three days and I hadn't even noticed :D.

B@rclaycard deducted 20% off the statutory compensation for tax. So it's possible I may get the tax back if DH and I earnt under the tax threshold this year, which is entirely possible. If I get the tax back it will be another £500 :T.

I'll definitely show the letter to our accountants and they can work out what needs to be done :).
