My jeans are blue - I don't know what I do wrong but black jeans always seem to get 'white' wash lines down them no matter what I do! Although I do wash/wear them every day so maybe why :rotfl:

Hope you have a happy Saturday HH

Black jeans certainly dont 'wear' as well as blue ones.

I got a pair of Viyella ones in a charity shop & keep them as 'good'

I dont wash any of my jeans every day unless they are dirty or have been at the FB.

  • Congratulations on the tax rebate, HHOD :T and well done on the great start to your course, I’m sure you’ll do brilliantly! :D

Re: the jeans debate, I tend to prefer blues and basic colours/patterns with blue jeans, and bright colours/patterns with black jeans :p and navy and black, regardless of material, would not be a good combination for me

That said, I haven’t worn jeans for a while because several of mine don’t fit  Some are too tight, but the next size up is so loose that the jeans actually fall down

To add to the chat on jeans, I'm ancient and still wear jeans:o. I've a pair of burgundy coloured ones which are my current favourite. I love everything about them, the colour, the fit and most of all the fact that they were an absolute bargain from the Scope charity shop:j. They looked completely unworn when I got them. They've been worn and washed so often since that they'll soon be pink rather than the original colour:rotfl:. Whatever I do I can't stop the colour coming out in the wash. The washing water looks as if I've been cooking beetroot:eek:. I don't wear jeans all the time though, I often prefer other trousers. I like jeans when they're well worn-in, I hate them when the fabric is still really stiff. I love them for doing things out of doors but find them uncomfortable if I'm doing a lot of sitting down. Must be my age:eek:

I agree about the navy and black combo not being a good one. Otherwise, IMO, anything goes:j

Thanks Wannabe :). I hope my black jeans don't get white wash lines . They won't get washed every day though. I usually buy blue but the black ones had 40% off :money:.

  • I must be the odd one out because I've never had a pair of jeans ! Loathe tight clothing of any sort, don't like stiffness of denim and never wear blue !!! I do have some Tencel 'denim' trousers that are lovely & soft, slightly baggy, fit perfectly and never need ironing, though.
And.....amazingly, they didn't need taking up. I think manufacturers assume we're all long-limbed nymphs or wearing 4" heels - alas neither !

Modern jeans tend to have lycra so I find them very comfortable as they have stretch. I remember buying jeans in the 1970s and having to lie down to get them on because they were so tight :rotfl:.

    I wish I was a long-nimbed nymph and I certainly don't wear 4" heels .

I hope the black jeans wear well but only time will tell! Your charity shop jeans were a bargain :money:.

Burgundy jeans sound nice :). My jeans have lycra in and are quite soft so I find them very comfortable. But I have scruffy baggy old jeans to knock around the house and I save my newer and smarter ones for going out.

I met stepdad in Costalot this morning. Then I wandered around for a bit window shopping. I bought bananas, eggs, two jars of pasta sauce and crisps for DH in Mr T. I was fighting the wind and rain so my umbrella got a bit battered .

When I can kick myself off the sofa :rotfl: I'll clean out the furry moron and empty the bins. I should also do some laundry.

I've lost two and a half pounds this week but I've got no idea how because I've done virtually no exercise .

I hope everyone's having a good Saturday with better weather than me!

I remember those days, HH. I had my first pair in 1962 and they were a bit long. My Mum often had the sewing machine out and although she certainly didn't approve of the jeans she told me to hurry up and whip them off as she had a few minutes when she could shorten them for me while the machine was still out. Getting them off when brand new was as much of an ordeal as it had been to put them on in the first place:eek:. No chance of getting dressed or undressed in a hurry:rotfl:
