Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I've been through the second shredding file and found a few more statements. I've had a CC with M&S and one with Barclayc@rd. The Barclayc@rd I've had since I was 18 so it's quite possible I may have had PPI with it at some point.
DH has had a Barclayc@rd for donkeys years, plus the RBS Adv@nta, a Mint card that he paid off and closed, a Ll0yds TSB card, an Egg card that morphed into a second Barclayc@rd and an Am3x card!
So eight CC cards between us. Plus our old mortgage with the H@lifax, and a car loan with Barcl@ys. And a Debenh@ms store card each. Hopefully between that lot there will be a few PPI claims.
Does anyone know how easy it is to claim on mortgage PPI?Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hi hairy
Loving you being excited about looking at the shredding file :T:rotfl::money:
Sorry as well about the slippers. Must have taken your breath away, well done on knowing yourself and that a row with your stepdad would not make you feel any better.
Lastly mortgage is just an account, no different to a cc or current a/c so dont worry that it's any different to do the ppi with. Try looking at this revolver site that's been mentioned, but if there is any hint they will take money from any payout do it yourself (I'm sure someone would have mentioned it if there was charges but just check to be sure)
Well done getting started, enjoy your afternoon out with ds.

HH as EH says Resolver is free . Your PPI foray has given me the push to try a couple more myself, I have no paperwork but it's worth a go.
Have you ever had packaged bank account ie. where you pay a monthly fee might be worth checking out, this is where I got my payout from last year took less than 2 weeks from start to finish

Well now you mention it Cumbria DH and I did both have a packaged bank account with B@arclays for years, before we wised up and changed to a free account. I didn't know you could claim for those . Thanks for pointing that out. Did you claim for that on the Resolver site too?
I think we got fleeced by banks right left and centre for years . Well hopefully it's payback time.

Yes I claimed that on Resolver also. If you get time I would read on the MSE main site , the PPI information under the heading claim 1000's top of the home page. It's really easy to read and helped me with my claims . It was where I got the Resolver website from.
