Hello! I’ve spent the last few days reading your diary from the very beginning — clicked on it as I’m Devonshire born and bred and remember days out to Dartmoor when I was little
and I have to admit your tenacity and strength kept me reading. You’ve coped so well with the erratic income from your DH’s business and dealing with the pesky annoying creditor, and I’m so sorry about your mum’s passing
but you truly have shown an incredible amount of strength especially at Christmas. I’m sure 2019 will be wonderful for you and that an employer will snap you up in no time :T
Belated birthday wishes to DS2 and I hope your journey to DS3’s uni went well — also hoping you didn’t get caught by the roadworks at J23-J22 and made it home trouble-free, the diversions were poorly signposted yesterday

I hope you had a safe and hassle-free journey yesterday, HH, and that DS and all his 'stuff' are safely installed in his room:beer:
I expect you're feeling a bit drained today, both physically and emotionally, so please take care of yourself and take it easy today if you can. It's probably not an easy thing for you to do though as I know you like to keep yourself busy because it helps to take your mind off things.0 -

DS2's birthday went well :T. He appeared pleased with his presents and enjoyed his roast dinner. We watched a film with him after eating which was nice
.
As a consequence we had to pack, shower etc in the morning, so we didn't leave until 11.30am. But we made good time and there wasn't too much traffic :T. We delivered DS3 and his big computer to his room, DH helped him set it up and make sure it was working well, while I poured Harpic down his toilet  and unpacked for him. He needed to finish a long essay after that so DH and I left him to it.
We had enough restaurant vouchers for two people, so DH and I had a good meal and decided to drive home as we both felt fresh. We decided driving further away from the motorway to a relative's house, making polite conversation all evening and sleeping badly in a different bed would be more tiring than just driving straight home again :rotfl:.
We had a good run home with virtually no traffic and no hold ups, and got home at 1.30am. I developed a sore throat on the journey home and have a head cold now, so I'm glad we're already home and I can rest today :T.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
