  • I do intend to keep visiting, but no, I don’t have a diary of my own (aside from a failed attempt a year or two ago). I have considered starting a new one but would probably get told off for some of my financial choices so have decided against it :o

Good to hear you made it home safely, although  at the state of DS3’s loo! Fingers crossed that cold goes soon and you feel better again :)
  • Thank you Tantaraza :). I'm glad you're going to keep visiting.

I'm sure no one on this forum would tell you off, as everyone is very kind and lots of us have made bad choices too. But not everyone wants to have a diary, it's a very personal thing :).

I agree totally with HH:T. people who post on diaries like this have often been in a financial mess themselves and will understand. There's usually friendly support and constructive help on diaries. No judgements:j.. Yes, you may get the occasional idiot who sounds off without knowing the full picture but that's not anything to worry about. People on here, and on my own 'new' diary are wonderful:A

Like HH said, not everyone wants a diary and it is a very personal thing. I thought about starting one for about 6 years but always stopped myself. I didn't think anyone would be remotely interested in what I had to say:o. Actually, it was mainly through being a part of this diary of HH's, following her journey and seeing the encouragement and support given so willingly to her by the visitors to it that inspired me to start my own diary. It was one of the best decisions I ever made:j. More than anything I've found it unexpectedly cathartic:o

Have a think about it. If you start one we'll all visit, post and cheer you on through whatever life has a nasty habit of throwing at all of us.. In the meantime I'll look forward to seeing you around either on here or on my own diary (where your posts have been very welcome:))
  • I hope your cold is getting better now. HH:coffee:

I did feel really miserable yesterday because of missing DS3, the house does feel quiet without him :(. I know I'm lucky I still have DH, DS1 and DS2, but DS2 rarely leaves his room and DS1 is buried in his laptop mostly :(.

It's made worse because of having lost my mum recently, and my head cold meant I couldn't do much. Normally I would have gone to Pilates, gone for a walk and done lots of housework to distract myself.

But my sore throat has gone and my cold is thickening up, which can be more unpleasant  but means it's heading in the right direction. I still feel pretty rough though :(.
