Glad you had a lovely weekend HH
Hope you're feeling better soon after some rest today

I feel very tired today and the house feels quiet without DS3
.
But we've deliverered him back to uni safely with his big computer so I know DS3 is pleased. He took the opportunity to take a load of books back with him too, so he'd never have got that lot home on the coach.
I'll skip Pilates tonight because of my head cold. I've already put the dishwasher on once and it needs to go on again . Plus the laundry baskets are full again somehow  so I'll put some on to wash. There is also some bin emptying needed.
But I'll take plenty of rests in between and I won't leave the house today, as I want to get over my cold and get back to full strength as soon as possible.

As a consequence we had to pack, shower etc in the morning, so we didn't leave until 11.30am. But we made good time and there wasn't too much traffic :T. We delivered DS3 and his big computer to his room, DH helped him set it up and make sure it was working well, while I poured Harpic down his toilet  and unpacked for him. He needed to finish a long essay after that so DH and I left him to it.
We had some restaurant vouchers so DH and I had a good meal and decided to drive home as we both felt fresh. We decided driving further away from the motorway to a relative's house, making polite conversation all evening and sleeping badly in a different bed would be more tiring than just driving straight home again :rotfl:.
We had a good run home with virtually no traffic and no hold ups, and got home at 1.30am. I developed a sore throat on the journey home and have a head cold now, so I'm glad we're already home and I can rest today :T.
It sounds like a happy and satisfying few days, HH:j. Well, not happy that you were dropping off your son but you know what I mean. It's a shame you ended up with a head cold but your plan to stay indoors and get a bit of rest today should help you to be back to normal very soon:beer:
All things considered you packed in such a lot yesterday in very good time:j. It's always good when traffic and holdups don't cause frustration and delays. It's great that you and DH had the opportunity for a nice meal out together and even better that it was cheap/free thanks to the vouchers. It always tastes better that way somehow:rotfl:. Sounds like a good decision to drive home without visiting relatives. It's always nicer to sleep in your own bed especially after a long and tiring day. Doubly so in your case as you were developing a head cold.0 -
Thank you Carboot
.
I wouldn't fancy driving home today with a horrible head cold . It's nice to be back home so I can rest, but the house does feel quiet now. But each day that goes by is closer to DS3 coming home again and I know he's in the best place for him at the moment :T.
I hope I get over this cold soon, I feel quite rough and I don't have time to be ill .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
