  • Volunteering was good today and it's lovely and sunny :).

This afternoon I plan to put some laundry on to wash and TAKE UP MY JEANS :rotfl:. It's going to take ages though because they're three inches too long, so I need to cut a bit off and then make a hem and sew them . I can do this :rotfl:.

    You can do it!

Glad you've had a good day, we have no sun today :( It's really cold and misty. Very grey and dull

    Have a lovely afternoon

Have not seen the weather today !!!
Have spent the whole time trying to match up signatures on Xmas cards with my Aunt's scribbly address book so as to send notifications of her passing and funerary arrangements. Really hard work, for what otherwise sounds like a simple job.
    Notes to self:
Ensure that eg 'Ruth & Roger' are on the Xmas card list as 'Ruth & Roger Ellis' so tie-ins with addresses are not guesswork.
Also ensure said addresses are legible !
Also make sure any relative doesn't have to wade through pages of crossed-out addresses to find 'Ruth & Roger'
Ensure addresses are up-to-date in ONE place, not scattered through several part books/backless books or scraps of paper !!!

TAKE UP THE JEANS, says she who puts 'do not procrastinate' on her New Year resolution list EVERY year, because tbh, everything else can be subsumed under that !
  • Although I admire your charity shop card purchases, could you perhaps look in c@rd factory for the next lot you need to buy? You can get 10 for £1 (or 5 for £1 for slightly better quality ones). Xx

Best win so far - holiday to Florida
  • I have got some in the past from Card Factory Lucky so I must remember to look in there too.

I'VE TAKEN UP MY JEANS :j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:T:j:T:j. It's taken me all afternoon but now I have jeans that I can wear without rolling them up :D.

I've also squeezed in two loads of laundry, I just need to hang up the second load. The dirty laundry seems to triple overnight at the moment . DS3 wants clean clothes to take back to uni so that's adding to the laundry mountain. I can't seem to wash it fast enough at the moment!

I've also emptied the kitchen bins AGAIN. I'll go back to volunteering for a rest tomorrow morning :rotfl:.

Well done on getting the jeans done, I hate looking for clothes (I literally have one outfit of jeans and a jumper I wear everyday! I do wash them everynight I promise I'm clean not smelly :p) Clothes shopping is my worst nightmare.

Hope you have a lovely evening it sounds like you've had a busy day!

Thanks Wannabe :). Unlike you I love clothes shopping but try to keep away from clothes shops unless I have money to spend, so I'm not tempted.

I have taken up the jeans Elizabeth :D.

That sounds like a very tricky job going through your aunt's address book, it can be very difficult to decipher other people's handwriting and of course they don't always write down things that they know and seem obvious to them, but less obvious to you . I hope you manage to get to the bottom of it.
