Yes a fairly productive day and at least the coffee tasted nice
.
Not so good news with regard to BIL MTG, he has stage four prostate cancer. They are going to operate on Monday and hopefully he will respond well to the various treatments. We've decided to visit next weekend.

Well after a week of dry weather I can hear it raining outside! What timing! I'm glad I'm not standing out in the rain getting muddy feet and watching a load of fireworks go off
The furry moron doesn't seem bothered by the noise at least, not sure if he's brave or just dumb :rotfl:.
I found a trail of spinach earlier which led from the landing, down the stairs and into the kitchen. I do wonder what goes on in my house sometimes .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

We have two bathrooms and it does make everything so much easier to manage. Especially with a little one who 'always needs to go' and usually when one of us is on it.
I'm sorry it's stage four prostate. With modern day treatment and medication, fingers crossed they will help him to beat it.

Hope all goes well with BIL’s op on Monday Hairy.
I think a lot of the problems with coffee shops/ restaurants these days is staffing. It only takes a few staff not to turn up and the whole thing goes to pot. The restaurants and bars where I live are always advertising for staff - there seems to be more of a high turnover these days. I must say though that the standard of service in the Prets, Costas etc where I work in London is a lot higher than when I go to them in our nearest town. Staff there seem half asleep sometimes!
Fireworks going off here in the background as well - much prefer to be nice and toasty indoors! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks SSG. He's still got a chance if the treatment works, so we are hopeful.
The service is normally good in my local Costa which is why I was so surprised. They were obviously having an off day :rotfl:
