  • So pleased the roller coaster emotion ride is over for oyu, enjoy the celebration.
  • Well, there must be huge shenanigans and celebrations in the HHD household.

It did make my day too. Brilliant news the bank sorted it so quickly.

And your choice of celebration made me smile. Do you realise how far you have come over your debt fighting time? You chose bubbles and curry from a supermarket - how MSE is that?

    Has your smile slipped yet?

THanks for the Mr M curry tip.
I hear they have also started doing fresh pizza too in the bigger stores I think.

  • Happy Wednesday everyone and happy November :)

I slept so well last night, I was exhausted but felt relaxed for the first time in ages :D

Yesterday, apart from becoming debt free :j DH, DS1 and I had our flu jabs. My arm is a little sore this morning.

We also paid our car tax yesterday. We would have liked to pay for a year and save money, but didn't want to leave ourselves short this month, so just went for six months in the end. Our car insurance runs out on the 12th of this month so we need to find a good deal for that.

Today is my big weekly food shop so I need to stick to my budget of £74.

Now that we are debt free I feel very happy and relaxed, but we have a new set of goals and a new journey to go on.

Our new goals are as follows:

    1. Raise our income.
    2. Save £1000 in an emergency fund.
    3. Save £4000 as a loss of income fund.
    4. Save to get essential work done on the house.
    5. Pay off our mortgage early.
    6. Save a retirement fund so we can afford to retire.

So as you can see, we have no shortage of goals :D

Being debt free makes me feel so strong that I feel like I can move mountains from now on :T. DH said he has relaxed for the first time in a very long time, so I hope his health will benefit now from the lifting of the pressure :)
