Prepare it when she’s in bed one night and then it’s waiting for her whenever you want her to see it. You can also track santa on Christmas Eve on the Norad tracker as he delivers his presents around the world.
I used to take my 2 to soft play on Christmas Eve when they were small to burn off some of the excitement. The local Church Christingle service is always very sweet, even if, like us, you aren’t religious

Aawww that sounds lovely. I wish mine were still little.

Thanks DIA that is a very good price, but our budget is so tight atm that I feel guilty for spending £5 on Pilates and £2.75 for a coffee today. In fact that would have paid for half of it
.
But Pilates is mainly to get me out of the house and meeting people. I regret the coffee though and next time I go for a long walk I intend to take my travel mug and drink it sitting on a bench. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

That sounds a great bargain:T. I wish VHS video players were still available. I've loads of videos that I'd dearly love to watch but nothing to play them on:mad:
I sometimes offer things on Freecycle and once posted a 'want' ad for a video player and was inundated with offers:j. The one I picked up was lovely, barely used, but after several years it has totally packed up and I couldn't find anyone able to fix it. OH took it to the tip:(. I might try again. Surely they haven't all been consigned to the tip by now. Another time I also got an excellent all-in-one printer/copier/scanner from Freecycle when mine died and I was totally skint. The donor also threw in several extra sealed ink cartridges, the original brand ones not the cheapo ones that I usually buy.
HH,If you are a member of your local Freecycle/Freegle you could try posting a 'want' ad for a DVD player. I think members have to have offered things first though before they are allowed to ask for stuff. Certainly true of our local groups,0 -
I think the Pilates is money well spent if you enjoy it and it gets you outI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I also think the occasional coffee is too. It's not just the drink and sometimes it's good to be surrounded by people and bustle. Especially important for you at the moment, HH, rather than sitting on your own on a bench somewhere.0 -
HairyHandofDartmoor wrote: »Pasta and cheese on toast is okay, but you should get some fruit, veg and protein in there too. I spend more on pasta and rice to get wholewheat and brown as it's a complex carb and healthier, plus more filling. Quorn is expensive so I only buy it when half price. Instead lentils, chickpeas etc are a cheap protein. Do you like curry? DH does a lovely potato and spinach curry which is very cheap. I don't buy cake and biscuits or we just eat them and DH is diabetic. I try and get him to snack on bananas and fruit stall grapes. Still sugary I know but natural sugar and he craves sugar at times. On the Mr T vegetable oil it says rapeseed oil if you look on the ingredients on the label.
I think Mr S is expensive so you will probably get it cheaper at Mr M.
I'm looking forward to checking out Mr M when I get paidOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940 -

We could look at Freecycle I guess. I'm not too bothered at the moment though as You Tube is a good option. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
