  • Hi everyone. It's still a bit misty here this morning but the sun is trying to break through.

Today is my Mr T shop and as always I will try to spend £74. The cupboards, fridge and freezer are a bit bare, but I'll do my best to keep to budget.

Have a good Wednesday everyone :)

  • Wow what a difference a day makes! After a misty start it's been warm and sunny all day. We were in short sleeves all day and DH and I even had the fan on in the office

I managed to stick to budget and spent £74.40 in Mr T. In theory this should last a week, apart fom a fruit top up on Saturday :j

We also took advantage of the 10p off a litre voucher and put £36.70 of petrol in the car (£3.30 off due to voucher). Hopefully this should last a month if we stick to our usual routine :T

I did ask DH if he could order me an early Christmas present though :o I wanted a Max and Paddy Out in the Lake District calendar because I love them on Facebook. It's going to be great having that in the kitchen in 2018 :D It cost £11.85 inc postage, but he'd have had to buy me something and I know I'm going to love it :o

DS1 had a bit of a kerfuffle getting to London on the first leg of his journey home today

His London friend (who he is travelling with) left his keys for his London flat at a hotel where they stayed for two nights (paid for by Yorkshire friend's parents as birthday treat). Yorkshire friend's dad drove there (two hour round trip) to pick up keys and hotel had found and then lost them  He was not happy

DS1 and London friend then missed coach to Leeds where they were connecting with their coach to London  Much panic ensued until Yorkshire friend's mum bought them train tickets to Leeds and said they could pay her back once they got home :)

DS1and London friend caught Leeds to London coach successfully :). In the meantime the hotel found the keys and posted them to Yorkshire friend, who will then post them on to London friend :)

In the meantime DS1 and London friend cannot get into his London flat until they find someone with a spare key

DH and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, you couldn't make it up :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
