  • Yes thanks Cumbria :). It was DH's birthday yesterday and today's been food shopping and full on housework, so no time to update my diary. I need to cook now!

I'll give a full report as soon as I can :D.

As long as all ok, thought the travel may have wiped you out. I bet you have been busy , you will have been missed.

  • Glad you're home safe and sound, if tired. We missed you.

I hope you enjoy your Saturday Saunter if you still plan to go:beer:. Maybe the heat and the fact that you've just been away from home for a whole week means you'd prefer to have a day at home tomorrow instead.

I picked up 3 enticing bargain books this week:j and came home really excited to get stuck into the first one but this hot weather doesn't agree with me and I feel permanently zonked out:o. Not like me at all, I'm nodding off in the recliner in the middle of the day and then managing a full night's sleep as well.

Thanks both :). What books did you get Carboot? My dad gave me three Hammond Innes books which I will enjoy.

  • I had a really lovely week with my dad and stepmum :). We went to two very interesting and beautiful NT places, met my stepsister for lunch in a nearby olde worlde town, had a family picnic and went to a lavender farm. It was really good to spend some quality time with them. I had a very relaxing time and the change of scene did me good :T. But I missed DH and the DC so I was pleased to come home.

Yesterday it was DH's birthday so we went out and DH spent his birthday money plus we had lunch in a cafe. Then DH relaxed in front of the telly while I cleaned out the furry moron and finished unpacking. Then in the evening we had an Indian takeaway. Very indulgent :D. DH said it was the best birthday he's had in ages :T.

Today we had to do the weekly food shop I normally do on a Wednesday and I did a ton of other housework . I'm feeling hot and tired now. Hot weather is okay when you're on holiday but not so great for doing housework and working in a hot office . We ordered another fan for the office today as one isn't enough, we need one each to stay cool!

I love reading your diary hairy hand but get fed up with having to explain to the family why I'm laughing. Sorry but 'furry moron always gets me.:rotfl:

It was DS3 that lost his boarding pass, DS2 has been remarkably efficient so far (mind you he may not tell me everything ).
