Not been on here for a while, all sorts of connection issues:mad:. Thankfully now sorted (fingers crossed;))
I was worried that I'd missed you and that you'd already left but am relieved to see you are still online:j.
Just want to wish you a relaxing and memorablel time. Bon voyage:beer:0 -
We ordered some protective shock proof covers from Am@zon for our 'new' phones and paid an extra £5.99 for next day delivery as I'm going away today.
Well they didn't come . So DH sent off an irate email last night. This morning he saw a reply saying they will refund the delivery charge and they will arrive by 10am today :T. So I hope they do, it's less than half an hour before they're late again! I'm fed up with listening out for the doorbell .
I'm pretty much packed and ready to go, I always get ready too early when I travel! I've made my lunch as the journey is six hours and the coach doesn't have a rest stop . I always feel sorry for tall people on coaches as I get cramped enough :rotfl:.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thank you. The connection kept 'dropping out' for no apparent reason and for varying amounts of time so I was often happily in the middle of something online only to find it suddenly disppeared:mad:. I'm with PlusNet who have been absolutely first class during the time I've been with them and their call centre staff are superb. Things get sorted pretty quickly once I call them. Rarely had to do it in the time I've been with them but I know from experience that they follow up each problem/ticket to make sure everything is OK.
The chap I spoke to at customer services said the landline phone I was speaking to him on (when I did eventually get a temporary connection) sounded crackly and he said it would also be fixed remotely (although I hadn't even complained about that as it's been crackly for donkeys years:(). True to his word it was. No idea what they did but I'm happy:j
Something odd always seems to happen to my broadband whenever the BT Openreach engineers have been working on the nearest green cabinet. I don't know what they do there, nothing to do with my standard service, I think it's something to do with rolling out the superfast service. I know it messes up my connection afterwards though:(.
I hope your Amazon delivery comes soon, HH. Waiting for delivery men is one of my top hates.0 -

Rather late to the party Hairy but if you're reading your diary I hope you have a great time away at your dad's.

Not sure when you said you'd be back, Hairy, if indeed you did. I think you said you'd be away for a week so you're probably already on your way home now. Safe journey if so:). I hope you had a lovely, relaxing time and that you don't arrive home to too much chaos. I expect your DH and sons will have really missed you and all you do for them.
I might not be around much in the foreseeable future as I've accepted a very time consuming volunteer role which I'll be starting on Monday. I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew but I'm not getting any younger and whilst I have my health, strength and 'marbles' I want to squeeze as much as possible out of every day:j.
I'll try to pop in when I can to see how you're all doing and in the meantime I wish you all a very happy summer:beer:0 -
Hi everyone I'm home :j.
I couldn't connect my tablet to the wifi at my dad's house and I don't know my MSE password for my phone .
I had a great time but I've been travelling for ten hours so I'll do a proper update tomorrow.
