Mine moved to a different county and downsized as it was 'the only way get my older brother to move out' not longer after I went. I'm not entirely sure they were joking.

Bit like that couple in the US that was in the news recently - their son - who is well in his 30s - came back "temporarily" to live, hasn't moved out some years later, doesn't work and gives no keep. They've gone to court to get him out........:rotfl:
Still - it is a wrench when they go , but the holidays at uni are very long - theyre back before you know it! And then they're out all the time and you still don't get to see much of them!:rotfl:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Wow its going to be all change soon in your house HHOD.
The business manager at my school struggled so much when her son went off to Uni last Sept. She actually cried at work, we could talk about it! Now I think he drives her mad when he's home :rotfl: xxMummytogirls x0 -
HHOD so much has been going on since I last posted , I am hoping your DS are successful for the next stage of their lives.
I can't comment on the uni going away, because my two both lived at home when they went !
The white bra thing made me laugh , I only have one these days, prefer skin tone myself . I only have matching undies when I go out for the evening .
Good to hear you are going to see your mum and step dad , are you driving , or train,This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I read that story SSG, the son sounded awful, no wonder they wanted him to leave :rotfl:.
It's true that uni holidays are long.mummytogirls wrote: »Wow its going to be all change soon in your house HHOD.

Oh dear I hope I won't be that bad, but who knows. Glad she got over it eventually.

Thanks Cumbria.
DH is booking DS2's ticket to Spain right now. However he's only going for two months now :T. I am proud of him for being so adventurous.
I'm going by coach as it's the cheapest method (I don't drive and even if I did DH needs the car). The whole journey is costing about £29 return :money:.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

The coach is good , you can relax with a book or watch the countryside flying by.
DS2 will have a great time in Spain, I have family in Seville and Barcelona , where will he be staying ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Madrid to start with. Not sure apart from that. I'll pump DH for info when he appears :rotfl:. Do you visit your family in Spain often? Are you part Spanish Cumbria?
I don't mind coaches as they can be quite relaxing.

No not Spanish , family have just married Spaniards and settled there. We do visit, but they tend to travel here more often .
Haven't been to Madrid, if he is going in the summer it will be roasting hot. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I know! DH's sister did warn him it would be very hot in Madrid. DH has appeared now. Apparently DS2 is going to Madrid for a month to a language school, then he's going to travel around a bit for the second month. He's going to Bilbao, Salamanca, Valladolid and Leon. He should have a good time. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
