Sorry to hear you've got it, I hope you get off lightly.

A colleague who has diabetes and had to shield in the first lockdown did get eventually it and was completely asymptomatic, so vulnerability doesn't necessarily lead to problems.

  • After the huge efforts you've taken for ages to protect yourselves, it does seem rotten luck to have it now. I hope it's the Omicron variant and that its effects are relatively mild for you.
I'm sure you couldn't have done more.

Thanks Cherry that's reassuring 🙂. My 88 year old dad caught it and he was mowing the lawn after three days!

Thanks Elizabeth 🙂. I'm positive I've caught it from work as I haven't been anywhere else since the new year. I suppose I was lucky to have escaped this long having worked with children throughout the entire pandemic 😒.

  • Hope you all stay well. DD had it and I didn’t catch it so it doesn’t always spread in households x

Sorry to hear Covid has finally caught up with you. This particular version seems to be catching all those who'd managed to avoid it previously. Hopefully you won't feel poorly with it. My daughter had it, didn't really isolate and neither of us caught it so fingers crossed you don't pass it on.

Hope you’re feeling ok, I’m really achey like I have the flu which isn’t pleasant.
