Lovely to hear it's going well!

My tip for the tired feet, should your work dress code permit them, is to wear running shoes (the very lightweight ones not trainers). They are cushioned, flexible and take a lot of the work out of being on your feet on concrete floors. You can also buy them in pretty colours. :)

Hi HHD :) So glad to hear you're enjoying your new job and that the staff seem nice to work with - that's always an added bonus :) I can just imagine the chain reaction when children leave at different times. xx

I’m so pleased it went well for you today 👍
    Thanks Milann :)

Great that you’re loving it so far. X
    Thanks Willowtree :)

I did my first day in my new job yesterday but without the children.
Sounds ideal !!!! Even I could do that...........

I'm glad you enjoyed your first day WITH children - there will be the odd sticky day (possibly literally!), as there is with all jobs, but it sounds like a good start. and hopefully a pleasant working environment. I expect the feeling tired will gradually lessen as you get used to what's expected of you.

    Thanks Elizabeth :).

Thanks Sunshine. I'm most worried that DH will catch it as he has diabetes and had a heart attack in July. He is double jabbed and boostered so I just hope he doesn't catch it from me.
