My tip for the tired feet, should your work dress code permit them, is to wear running shoes (the very lightweight ones not trainers). They are cushioned, flexible and take a lot of the work out of being on your feet on concrete floors. You can also buy them in pretty colours.

I'm glad you enjoyed your first day WITH children - there will be the odd sticky day (possibly literally!), as there is with all jobs, but it sounds like a good start. and hopefully a pleasant working environment. I expect the feeling tired will gradually lessen as you get used to what's expected of you.

I've got good news and bad news!

Good news is I've been enjoying my new job so far 🙂.

Bad news is I've tested positive for Covid this evening on a lateral flow test 😫. I've booked a PCR test tomorrrow to confirm it.
I've told work and they're asking everyone to do daily tests for a week. I must have caught it from work because I haven't been anywhere else for a week.
I really hope DH doesn't catch it. I'm surprised I haven't caught it before in a way, but it got me in the end  😩. I feel fine at the moment but I'm self-isolating in my room. I'm going to get very bored 😕.

Thanks Sunshine. I'm most worried that DH will catch it as he has diabetes and had a heart attack in July. He is double jabbed and boostered so I just hope he doesn't catch it from me.
