Hope you’re feeling ok, I’m really achey like I have the flu which isn’t pleasant.
DH & DS still testing negative on the LFTs so fingers crossed for them. DD is only 2 so don’t want to test her if I don’t need to, she’s staying at home with me anyway.
Hope you’re still feeling ok Hairy. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

My PCR test came back last night at 11pm and was positive 😣. That was a quick result! I was fully expecting it to be positive so not altogether a surprise.
Despite registering my positive LFT on Monday evening, test and trace have not rung me. Luckily I haven't been anywhere but work since new year's eve and I've told them.
It's DS2 birthday today so it's a shame I can't see him 😔. We're going to have a second celebration when I'm no longer infectious. DH is going to cook a roast dinner for everyone as DS2 likes that and he's got him a birthday cake. We'll have to share the present opening over zoom. We hadn't planned to go out anyway due to financial and Covid concerns.
I still feel fine and slept well. Just a bit more tired than usual I think, but then sitting around on my bed all day is bound to make me sleepy and lethargic so it's hard to tell. I've got lots of books to read and this forum to browse. My sister says she has sent me two books which should arrive today, which is lovely of her ☺ .
It's lucky I don't mind the cold as I'm self isolating in an unheated attic room in January with the window open! I'm wearing two tee-shirts, a hoody, a fleece jacket, fingerless gloves and sitting under a wool blanket so I feel fine. And DH is keeping me supplied with hot drinks in travel cups. I've got the window open a crack as the room fills up with condensation otherwise and when I go to the bathroom I don't want infected air to spread through the rest of the house.
I hope everyone in Forumland has a more exciting and eventful day than I'm going to 😂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

At least it's confirmed, good news you still feel ok. How long have you got to isolate for, I've lost the plot with how many days it is now? It's my DD's birthday and would've been my mum's today too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I just want to say how I admire the way you're coping with the restrictions you're enduring at the moment and ensuring everyone in your family stays safe
. I bet an awful lot of people are much more cavalier about how they handle their imposed isolation than you and your family are..

It is great how well you are managing your domestic Covid situation.
Fingers crossed you stay asymptomatic too.

Glad you are still feeling ok. Hope it stays that way
I also sleep with a window open most of the time. I open all the windows in the morning too every day to air the house, but they don't stay open that long at this time of year! I like a cold bedroom."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4
