Sitting in the garden with a coffee sounds lovely and amazing. The insects will soon be in your bug hotel if they are not already.

Have a lovely Sunday Hairy x
    Thanks Nicnak :)

DH and I decided to go for a walk by the sea 🌊 today as it was such a lovely morning. We really enjoyed it. The sea and sky looked so blue and it was good to see people out and about enjoying themselves. I wanted to stop for an outdoor coffee but DH wanted to go home and the cafes did look a bit busy. It was a nice start to a Sunday though as normally we stay at home all weekend 🙂.

I put a wash on before we went and have done another one since. They are both drying in the garden. DH and I had coffee out there mid afternoon ☕☕ and I got too hot and had to move into the shade can you believe 😎! We need a second bench at the bottom of our steps as it would be more shady there, so that's another item to save up for. Our flowers looked lovely in the sunshine and we spotted new leaves and flower buds on many 🌺🏵. There was quite a background drone of bees collecting pollen from the flowers 🐝.

It's DS3's last weekend with us, but his dissertation is due in a few days so I've only since him a few times in the kitchen to have a brief chat. I suppose the fact that he spends most of his time in his room will help us not to miss him too much when he goes back to uni 🤔.

I've finished the last book I own in the crime series I've been currently reading (by Elly Griffiths). I've ordered the latest one with a rainforest voucher I had for my birthday, but until it arrives I don't want to start another series. So I've found another book to read called Darkness Falls by Margaret Murphy. I love the Elly Griffiths series as they combine archaeology with murder which is just perfect to my mind 📚.

I've had quite a lazy day apart from the walk and the washing, but that suits me on a Sunday as my week at school can be fairly hectic. Is anyone else struggling to know what to wear at the moment? Sometimes I can be cold and other times I can be too hot at school, so I have to wear layers. I ought to get out my lighter coat for tomorrow I think as I'm getting too hot in my thick winter one and have been leaving it in the staffroom some days.

It wasn't a NSD as I nipped into the cwop shop on the way back from our walk for a few bits we needed. But our main spending is on food and bills.

I hope everyone is having a relaxing and enjoyable Sunday 🙂.

  • Thans Milann :). I knew it would be a long wait to get my hair cut as everyone is desperate to get in the salon and my preferred hairdresser is part time. At least I'm booked in now.

I hope DS3 will come home in the summer, but his rent has to be paid up until the beginning of August so I'm sure he'll stay until then.

I could spend a fortune at garden centres and I did in fact over easter. It gives so much pleasure to have a lovely garden though.
