Our boiler has come out in sympathy with yours.....dh repaired a seal on ours a few months ago as it was dripping. Occasionally the boiler and little thermostat box don’t talk to each other then they are ok again...they decided to fall out today.....I’ve been frozen all day as I couldn’t click the fire on either. Dh is currently messing with ours - not having much luck though. At least he’s managed to click the fire on now.
Your day at NT sounds lovely- every time we’ve looked around here they’ve been fully booked.January spends - £587.585 -
I wonder what manifolds are......?5

I was also imagining what a manifold might look like, lol.

The plumber said yesterday he was going to come at 9.30am this morning, then he remembered he had a job on this morning so he said he'd come at 1pm. Well we're still waiting for him to arrive so I can't say that I feel very impressed 😠. Our builders are really reliable and always come when they say they will, so it's quite a contrast.
Luckily I decided to get on with my gardening and I've finished it now. DH and I went to the shop first thing this morning and bought some compost and a few other bits. Then we stopped at Mr M on the way home as we're running low on vegetarian food and our Mr T order doesn't come until the 10th.
This afternoon I wanted to repot a Torbay Palm which is leaning at quite an angle. It looked quite healthy apart from resembling the leaning tower of Pisa 🤣. Anyway the soil was really hard and compacted and it was really difficult to get it out of the pot. I tried not to damage the root ball, but a lot of small finer roots just broke away so there is a tiny root ball left. Anyway I've repotted it in an upright position with a cane to support it and I hope it will survive. It took a whole bag of compost to fill the pot, which I wasn't expecting 😳. I felt really tired afterwards so I've decided to knock the gardening on the head for today.
I started when the plumber was due, I've finished, got changed and had a cup of tea and he still hasn't arrived 🙄. He's better come soon because DS3 is waiting to have a shower and we're going out tomorrow!
I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
