I'm waiting for the plumber to come. He said he'd be here in 15 - 30 minutes a good 45 minutes ago! I'll be glad when he's come and gone as the thought of him coming is making me quite stressed. We haven't had anyone in the house for over a year so I suppose that doesn't help. I must remember to open the window and door when he comes. I do want the boiler to stop dripping though.

I've done lots of tidying up anyway. I've swept the kitchen floor, cleaned the cooker, the windowsill and the sink. I've also cleaned the wash basin in case the plumber needs to use the facilities 😂. I've emptied all the bins in the house too. There's lots more housework needs doing but it's a start anyway.

DH rang Htpnt and they can't send an engineer until 15th April 😱. As I haven't done any washing for over a week already I'm not sure how we'll cope until then. I've got plenty of socks, but clean underwear and tee-shirts are going to run out soon. At least I don't have to change my complete outfit every day like I do when I'm at school and I guess I could start wearing my tee-shirts for two days in a row, sigh. I hate it when things go wrong, especially important things like washing machines 😡 .

I've rejoined the NT 😀. It's well worth the money as we get such a lot of use out of it. I've arranged to meet aunt and uncle at a NT garden on Thursday. There weren't many slots left so lots of people must be wanting to go! I'm looking forward to seeing them again and enjoying the spring flowers there. I've also arranged to visit stepdad and wife in their garden next week 🙂. It will be nice to catch up as I haven't seen him since last August!

Hope the plumber has turned up now. When my boiler was dripping it was because the condensate pipe was blocked, mine was ice but it could be leaves or anything like that

  • The plumber came 🙂. He thinks it needs new seals on one of the manifolds (or words to that effect 🤨) so he's coming back tomorrow with the bits he needs. He's also going to service the boiler as it hasn't been done for yonks. I hope it's not too expensive. He's coming at 9.30am tomorrow. I hope he doesn't take too long as I want to do gardening. Maybe I should just get on with the gardening while he's here 🤔 . He's quite pleasant and keeps bees 😂.

The plumber coming has made me clean the sink, windowsill and have a good tidy up in the kitchen. I just need to clean cobwebs out of the boiler cupboard, clean the cooker and sweep the floor. Then the kitchen will look almost decent. We haven't had anyone come inside the house for about a year so standards have slipped a bit 😏 .

This was me last week with the boiler service 😆  It really motivates me to clean up!

Our boiler service is about £65.  Hope your bill isn't too expensive.  I just leave them to get on with it, so I'd be out gardening if I was you :).
