Just called in to catch up.  Hoping that your Mums snowdrops took for you?  I thought of you when I looked at my spring bulbs and hoped the pots bring some comfort.
  • Great to read what you are doing with your salary 😁  x
    Thanks BB50 :)
Flowers are looking lovely Hairy. I have one clump of crocuses that have flowered that survived being eaten by the badgers/ squirrels 😀
    Thanks OBl :)
I bet it felt really good to squirrel away money, especially your SEF !!

The flowers are lovely. We have my father's snowdrops, dug up when I was clearing out the house & brought home for our front garden, where they flower splendidly each year.

Oh and I agree with everyone else about your sensible decision to get supportive shoes. If your feet hurt you'll be scuppered !
    Thanks Elizabeth :)
Sorry you will have to wait to be vaccinated.
I hope you have had a coffee in your garden this weekend. (it's the small things that help)
    Thanks DIA :)

Hi HHoD, I do agree that you need to be comfortably shod for a job which requires a lot of standing & walking around. I bought myself a couple of pairs of Vi*nics last year - one a pair of mary-jane style trainers & also some sandals. They were more expensive than I would have ideally liked to pay, but I tend to pronate one of my ankles over a little & after a while of walking in flat shoes, even comfortable ones, I can get such an ache in my achilles tendon. So spending a little bit more to get a shaped footbed was worth it for me. I have discovered that they also sell shaped insoles, so I am wondering about buying a pair of those for my other shoes, as it is probably a cheaper way of being able to walk in everything comfortably. I do think that if our feet ache & hurt, we are kind of aware of it like an annoying niggle all day.
I enjoyed looking at your Spring flowers. I keep thinking I must investigate putting up photos on my diary, but I never seem to get around to it. It's nice to look at cheery images at the moment, I think.

    Thanks Foxgloves :)

Here's another who agrees about the trainers.  If they stop your legs hurting & even maybe doing some damage, then they are cheap at whatever the price.  Whatever your age, health & mobility are or should be priorities
    Thanks Badmemory :)
