We didn't go for the walk in the end because I felt so tired. I just felt really listless and like I couldnt' be bothered to do anything which isn't like me. It's a shame because it's been a lovely sunny weekend.
I did spend ages cutting DH's hair with the clippers. He's very pleased with it and it does look much better but it was tiring as I was standing up for about an hour.
Then I washed some jumpers and cardigans on the wool wash. When I got them out they had a grey sort of slime on them. I cleaned the rubber seal on the washing machine and washed them again but it was still there. So then I did a 60 degree wash with just water to clean the machine, then put towels on to wash on 60 degrees. After that I washed the woollies again on the wool wash but the slime was still there. I gave up at that point and hung them up to dry. DH suggested I wipe them over with a damp towel when they are dry to get the slime off. It's a bit mystifying and very annoying 😡.
Apart from that I just read my book as I felt so tired and lacking in energy. DH had to go and buy some milk so he bought me some multivitamins too as I'd run out (in case that helps).
I think I've been feeling a bit down since DS3 went back to uni, also I'm not too keen on the autumn as I don't like the dark evenings, plus we're a bit short of money at the moment, and I'm also a bit concerned about what Christmas will be like with possible virus restrictions that may come about. Last year going to some Christmas fairs at NT places cheered me up and gave me something to look forward to but I think they'll all be cancelled this year. I'm not sure how I will make myself look forward to Christmas this year. So maybe my tiredness is a result of me feeling a bit low.
Hopefully being at school tomorrow will ennervate me a bit. It's only two weeks until half term and then I'll have more time for housework, plus we can plan a few nice walks at NT places.
One piece of better news is that I texted our builder yesterday to remind him and he finally replied and he said he'll pop around next week to discuss the work we want done so he can give us a quote. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Monday was a good day for me at school 🙂. The HT teacher asked to see me and I thought either I'm in trouble or this is good news. Anyway it was good news as I was asked to do an extra day and two half days of TA cover as another TA is stressed and wants to be part-time until Christmas 🎊🎊🎊😁😁😁. I said yes of course and I was delighted as that will help with the money worries I've been dwelling on 😁. They wanted me to start the next day. That means I'll be doing the equivalent of four full days of TA cover and my lunchtime job.
I know I'll be doing extra hours, but sometimes I think it's stress about money that makes me so tired. I did feel very tired after school on Monday and was developing a sore throat, but I put my light out at 9.30pm and when I got up this morning it had gone.
I did TA cover this morning in my new class, which involves working with an autistic boy who needs a lot of one to one. I did my best with him by being kind but firm and persistent and got him to do some work. The teacher said she thought I'd worked well with him, so hopefully it's not beginner's luck! The weather was weird today as we had heavy showers and sunshine 🌤. A corner of the playground had flooded at lunchtime so I put cones out to keep the children away from the flooded area, but I still had to police it as children would try to play in the water and move the cones if I wasn't watching them 🙄. I'm going to rest this afternoon now as I'll be working in the new class tomorrow afternoon and need to keep my energy high.
At least I'll be less worried about money now as I'll be earning more. We have to renew our car tax at the end of this month and our MOT and our car insurance need renewing in early November. Even if the car passes the MOT it's going to cost at least £500 for all of that lot 😔. I dread to think what will happen if it fails the MOT but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. The extra money will come in useful with Christmas approaching too.
I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
