Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

The vegetable painting sounds delightfully messy !
We've been to one pub for a meal since March, and it was well organised and most enjoyable. I actually got to speak to real people for a change (my social/speaking circle has plummeted from 40-50 a week to 5 or 6!!!). I was so glad they were still in operation. Whilst people like us are staying in, businesses are crashing everywhere, and I fear for what might be left by next year.7 -
Totally agree with you Elizabeth, I really feel for those in the hospitality industry 😢I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Friday was a full on day! I was making resources in the morning, then at lunchtime I was in first aid for half an hour, in the canteen for half an hour, in the playground for half an hour, back in the canteen for ten minutes, then back in the classroom all afternoon. I had a very busy time in first aid. I had three children who'd been hit in the eye with a ball, one hit her head on a door frame, one scraped her leg on a rope and one fell off her tricycle and was then run over by it 😳. I actually ran out of ice packs and all that in half an hour 😳. I was shattered when I got home but I enjoyed the day and it was sunny 🌞.
Today I've enjoyed not having to rush around like a mad thing sorting out children. I enjoyed a lie in, a leisurely breakfast, did two washes and dried them outside, weeded the front garden 🌿, did a bit of pruning and picked up some fallen leaves 🍂🍃 in the back garden, and had coffee ☕ with DH on our garden bench. In between I read my book. (I'm reading the Ruth Rendell Wexford series in order at the moment and really enjoying them.) So a good combination of relaxation and getting jobs done. I also found out one of my niece's has had a baby girl, so I now have two great nieces and a great nephew, with another great nephew on the way 🙂.
Tomorrow I need to cut DH's hair with the clippers, iron some tops for school and then in the afternoon we fancy going for an autumn walk as sunshine is forecast.
I hope everyone is having a good Saturday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Sounds like it was full on with the first aiding. Nice to spend some time with your book. I like Ruth Rendall’s books, think I’ve read most of them.Enjoy your walk tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

It is good you got to sit outside - it has been torrential rain here most morning but brightened up a bit this afternoon- I wouldn’t have wanted to sit out in it though as it was cold and windy.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend chilling - hopefully🤞It’s surprising just how hectic a dinner time playtime can be. Some days there are lots of injuries - other days nothing. There doesn’t seem any rhyme nor reason.January spends - £587.587 -
Sounds like a lovely mix of catching up weekend and relaxing. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x7 -
Hilarious reading about the children (sorry!).
Another Ruth Rendell fan here - even though it's pretty old now, my favourite is 'A Judgement in Stone'.7 -

. I thought I'd read them all but now I'm reading them in order I've discovered there were a few I hadn't read.
