Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Wow this has been a hot day ☀️☀️🔥🔥🌡🌡! Half of the children wanted to sit in the shade again. I spent most of lunchtime being a toilet attendant 🚽so I think we've been encouraging them to drink too much. Yesterday I was car park attendant and valeter 🚗🚲 (toy cars and trikes) and tomorrow I'm going to be a cleaner. You can't say my job isn't varied 🤣.
DH and DS1 took two car loads of branches to the recycling centre today 😁. When I got home I offered to do two more trips with DH to take the broken trellis, our two green garden waste bags and the rest of the branches. We've now got rid of all our garden waste 😁, apart from one and a half green bags that we've filled up again with leaves, tiny branches and sawdust.
I feel shattered now but it's lovely to see a garden clear of all the carp. DH said he'll take the two green bags to the tip before the weekend, along with a broken printer, broken plastic chest of drawers and some old skirting boards that have been lurking by the shed for nearly a year 😳. I can't wait to have a clear, tidy garden. DH and DS1 only had to queue up for the first trip and on the next three trips drove straight in and unloaded, so I reckon we've managed to wait until the rush died down 🙂. It also helped that it's a week day I expect.
It's a hot day for work like that, 26 degrees🌡, but it's worth it. I've also put the dishwasher on and hung up a wash I put on this morning. I feel tired now so I've told everyone to organise their own dinner because I'm too tired to cook and I'm just going to do myself beans on toast. I've got a full day at work tomorrow so I need to reserve a bit of energy for that. I hope to goodness it's a bit cooler tomorrow because I find this heat very debilitating and it makes me feel like a limp lettuce 😞.
I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

It sounds a lot of fun being in your care at school, HH, I'm sure the children think so too.
Well done at getting all that rubbish cleared, it's so lovely when a job is done, isn't it ?
I'm probably out of prison on Friday, but I have been improving the shining hour by sorting a corner of the bedroom that had got stacked very high. I can almost see the carpet !!5 -
There's always that satisfaction when you see such an improvement in different areas, isn't there? Your fence and now clearing all the stuff will make it feel and look so lovely. I bet you can't wait to have your coffee out there. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Happy nice clear garden.
I’ve struck lucky over lunchtimes and am inside overseeing 2 bubbles - they swap turns being outside then eating dinner in their bubble. I can go in 1 bubble as it my bubble so watched some tv with them but sat in the corridor for the 2nd lot as I’m not in that bubble and chatted from a distance to my friend as I watched as they ate and watched tv. It was shady with a lovely breeze going through 👏
I’ve not ventured into town for the shops yet and am in no real rush to.....it’s the thought of queuing that puts me off. When I go to town I like a saunter and general nosey. I can’t see that happening for a while yet 😢 I’m hoping once things open more folk will go further a field doing different things.....and I can nip to town - simples 😝January spends - £587.585 -
You are doing great with the garden and clearing clutter/waste.
It was super hot were I am yesterday. Today a bit cooler but still 26.

Thanks everyone 🙂.
It felt even hotter yesterday ☀️🌡🔥 and when I got home I felt really dehydrated and spent all evening drinking water and feeling very tired. One of the six year olds told me his parents had attacked him with sun cream and another one was limping and said a crab had bitten her toe 🦀. They say such funny things 🤣😂 .
It was much cooler and fresher today thankfully. DH dropped me at school ( I was still feeling tired) and then went on to the tip for his fifth trip. He dropped off one and a half green bags of leaves, twigs, etc, a broken printer, a broken set of plastic drawers and some old skirting boards from when we had our kitchen floor done 😁. It's great to finally get rid of all the carp in the garden and we disturbed a lot of bugs, slugs and snails that were nesting in our rubbish 🕷 🐌. It may have been encouraging rodents to nest too, who knows 🐀 🐭.
After school DH collected me and dropped me at Mr M so I could buy birthday food and some other bits we needed (it's DH's birthday on Sunday). After I showered off my school germs and had a late lunch (4pm) we felt inspired to sweep the garden and deadhead a few flowers. Then DH and I sat in the garden with a cold drink to enjoy our new tidy space 🙂. It was very peaceful and a sparrow was hopping around and having a whale of a time 🦅. I want to encourage more birds to the garden as we like watching them. As long as His Gingerness 🐈 🐱 the cat who lives in the house backing onto us doesn't catch the birds, but I think he's too fat and lazy 🤣.
BIL is deteriorating and I don't think he has long which is very sobering 😥 but I'm trying not to think about it too much because there's nothing I can do and I think I'm a bit in denial at the moment 😔. My niece has gone to be with her mum thankfully.
I hope everyone is having a good Friday 🙂 .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
