The back fence is done now and the frame is up along the short side 😃. It's really strong and well made and looks fantastic, so I'm delighted 😁. The builder will come back tomorrow at 8am to finish off.
We're going to have so much more privacy now and we'll be able to enjoy the garden more 😃. I felt a bit as though I shared the garden with our neighbours as the wall was so low and I kept catching their eye which was embarrassing 😣. The house on that side is rented and the neighbours seem to change every year so it's hard to get to know them. I can't wait for it to be finished tomorrow.
We need to save up and get the long side done next. Our garden is an L shape so we've done the back and the short side, but the long side is very long and we can't afford it yet. I won't rest until it's done now as we'll have totally privacy when that side is done. So I'm going to save up and get it done asap. I don't need any more clothes and I've gone off the idea of restaurants, coach journeys, etc, for now. So any spare cash can be diverted to home improvements.
It's DS1's birthday tomorrow and I'm slightly horrified that he's 27 which makes me feel ancient 😱. I've wrapped up his presents and we've got some nice food in. Luckily I'm working at lunchtime only tomorrow so I can see him open his presents and watch a film together after work.

I know what you mean about children's ages, I'm sure I don't know how the years have skittered by.6 -
Great news the fence is up 🎉 We have total privacy from our neighbours which is brilliant. One side is a church which is even better. My kids are 35 and 33 so imagine how old that makes me feel 🤣
Will you benefit from extra work re the news that there might be some schooling over the summer period?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

Not sure where the time has gone!!. I want to keep the EF as I'll only get my dinner lady money over the summer holidays and we may need the EF to live on.
Our DS's are the same age.

It's possible I might benefit. I'll have to wait and see. Fingers crossed as I need money for a third fence 🤣.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Talking of feeling old, one of the six year olds at school told me I was too old to have parents because I looked old, cheeky so and so 🤣. He then asked me how old I was and I said "Would it surpise you if I said I was a thousand years old?" and he said "No", so I said "Well I am a thousand years old, so my parents are two thousand years old." He looked as if he didn't know whether to believe me or not 🤣. I have to have my little jokes or I'd go insane! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
