One pair of jeans
One tee-shirt
One pair of evening sandals
Two padded jackets
I've also thrown away a pair of DS3's old trainers and DH's old trackies. I'm on a roll.
Our council does fabric recycling, so what with offering things to my girls (we're similarly-sized), charity shops, Freegle, and recycling, nothing gets actually thrown away.
Decluttering for me is an ongoing nightmare - I applaud you for getting on so well with yours. It seems like every bit of paper needs to be filed somewhere, every item of clothing I might wear one day (yeah, when I'm 2 sizes smaller!!), every book I'll read again, and so on.
By the way, how do you all get quoted comments in a green box ?0 -

Sorry to hear you are suffering with a cold, I'm the same at the moment and I never get colds as a rule. Mine was just an irritating tickly cough which kept waking me up but this morning it's turned into a streaming nose too. Good job I haven't anything urgent to do with us having an even lower-key Christmas than usual because of the electric situation.
Just thought I'd mention that it might be worth your checking whether your local charity shops take old, unwearable, tatty and generally 'past it' clothes. Several of ours do and it goes to recycling into such as carpet underlay (it used to anyway) and that sort of thing. The charities are always glad of it. They say to bag it up separately from donated wearable clothes and label the bag so they don't have to sort through everything. Just thought of mentioning it when you said your DH threw his old jacket in the bin.
Enjoy your latte:coffee:, you certainly deserve it. I'm a tea gal myself. More of a tea addict really:o.elizabethhull wrote: »

I hope your cold gets better soon carboot.
I'll have to check with our local charity shops to see if they take tatty material.
I actually love de- clutteringbut don't get much time for it. I'd love a minimalist haven but DH and DS1 like to hang on to things . I'm planning a major de-clutter between Christmas and new year; I can't wait

I had a really relaxing potter today.
Sorry you're full of cold but yay on the decluttering front. Parents visited yesterday so we did the usual thing of shoving everything upstairs out of sight. Plan was to sort it all out today but I'm not feeling very motivated tbh.
I've been there and done that Dora . My bedroom is the clutter hell hole but our office comes a close second . Those are the two areas that I really want to sort out. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Well I've been busy today!
I did my potter around town which I enjoyed. I spent £2.20 on the bus, £1.99 on a hardback book, £2.65 on coffee and about £15 in Mr T on fruit, bread, cleaning wipes and sink unblocker.
On the way into town I saw a man dressed as an elf come out of a house. I was wondering if anyone else on the bus had noticed when a man two seats in front of me said "First elf of the day" :rotfl:.
When I got back I put some clothes on to wash and cleaned out the furry moron. Then I put the bath mats on to wash. Then I cleaned the venetian blind in the bathroom, which took ages. After that in a fit of madness I cleaned all the mould off the bathroom ceiling .
I'm completely shattered now and I've done 13,756 steps so far .
DH has been busy too. He's been painting more skirting boards and door frames. Then DS3 asked if DH would go Christmas shopping with him to help him choose presents. Then DH dropped DS3 at the restaurant for his shift and will have to collect him at midnight . There's no rest for the wicked! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
