Glad you had such a fab time - how lovely that people look forward to your party
When I was a teenager, the Scottish couple across the road had a brilliant Hogmanay party every year, many happy memories of that.

Thanks SA. Some years DH and I think can we be bothered to go to all that effort, but I know my mum looks forward to it and my cousin's children look forward to it too as they love the silly games we play. So we always do it and we're always glad afterwards

Awww sounds like youve had a brilliant Christmas HHOD. Never mind going over budget on the party food, at least everyone had a great time and that is the most important thing! xxMummytogirls x0

Thanks MTG

I'm feeling well dressed after Christmas as DH gave me a new hoody and shoes (bought half price by me in the boxing day sales) and I bought two new tops in the White Stuff sale before Christmas with some of my survey money
. I wore them both over the Christmas period and the shoes
.
I also have some Christmas money to spend in the sales and would like some more tops as I am short of nice ones.
We've been invited to my aunt's house on Sunday, so I will do my Saturday ramble tomorrow instead.

I've been thinking about my 2018 goals so here they are:
- Restart daily walks
- Restart healthy eating
- Lose 12 pounds
- Find a stable source of income
- Do some voluntary work?
- Save £1000 emergency fund
- Save £6000 Income loss fund
- Join the National Trust with Christmas money
- Go for a walk with DH every week
- Keep the house clean and de-cluttered
- Keep my clothes clean, tidy and ironed
- See friend 1 once a month
- See friend 2 every three months
- Meet friend 3 for coffee
I've tried to look at every aspect of my life and aim to improve it, including finances, work, home and social life. I've tried to make the goals realistic and achievable.

2018 goals sound good and more importantly achievable. No point setting the bar too high.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Glad to hear you had a good Christmas. I bet it felt different, it being debt free.
I have set myself some little steps leading up to New Year. I'm not impressed with my inability to move on so I need to make an effort.
I am just off for my second walk of the day. It is really cold here but clear and there is a moon too. Just a quick wander for some fresh air. What's the weather like with you?
Take care honey, best wishes to all the HHD family

I feel like I've eaten my fill of unhealthy food after today , so tomorrow I'm going to eat more healthily and let everyone else in the house finish up the unhealthy food. After that I'm going to fill the house with fruit and healthy food and not allow chocolate, crisps, cake or party food into the house. I'm having an AFD today, as well as a NSD as we haven't left the house
.
My tummy feels uncomfortable and bloated and all my clothes feel a bit tight and uncomfortable around the waist , so I'm quite keen to start my healthy eating.
I have a Christmas present that isn't really my thing and a few other bits to drop off at the charity shop tomorrow, so I'm starting my de-clutter too.
