Glad you got the job done. One big job a day is certainly something that seems to be working for a lot of people. x
Thanks all of you :). I think it's my way of coping. I spent the first week after school shut for most children feeling tired and miserable, the second week working but feeling down when I was at home. This third week I've got my mojo back and thrown myself into cleaning and de-cluttering. Let's face it, what else have I got to do? 😭 🤣
I'm the opposite way round,I spent the first week running round cleaning my house and thinking how lovely it was going to be having all this time to just do all the things I need to do at home, now I'm just sitting here surveying the mess and wondering if I will ever get enough energy together to hoover up, my mojo has completely disappeared,I'm sooooo tired, I got up an hour ago and I'm just contemplating having a nap 😀
Well I dont' know how long my energy will last, I may go back to feeling lethargic next week, but I'm making the most of it while it lasts :). Can you force yourself to do just a few things as that may give you a lift?

my cleaning notions come and go but I do have a written down list to work off of xx
I find a written list really useful, because if I have a spare half hour or I'm at a loose end I can pick something from my list. If I have a whole day I pick a big job to do, but there are lots of small niggly jobs that only take about ten minutes but I've been putting off for months :).

I've done my big job of the day 🙂. I like to do the big stuff in the morning when it's cooler and I've got more energy.

I've emptied the small wooden bedside chest of drawers contents into some carrier bags and DH needs to sort out his clutter now. The empty chest has been cleaned and put in DS3's room to replace the broken plastic drawers. The plastic drawers were a right dust trap. I transferred the contents to the wooden chest and I found DS3's birth certificate which has been lost for about two years 😀 🎉🎊. He swore he'd given it back to me and I knew he hadn't 🙄 so I'm very glad to find it 😀. It's going in a safe place now. The wooden chest looks lovely in his room so I'm sure he'll be pleased. I've sent him a photo so he could see how nice it looks.

My next jobs are to hang up DS1's net curtain, hang the washing that's nearly finished in the garden, put some blankets on to wash and tidy my and DH's bedroom.

I love getting so much done 😁. It's going to be even hotter today (22 degrees ☀️) so far too hot for gardening. It's cooler indoors on days like this.

    JOBS UPDATE
Well the net curtain is hung up, the washing is drying in the garden, I've washed some blankets and they're drying in the garden. I've put some bath mats on to wash, I've tidied up our bedroom a bit and I've poured two kettles of boiling water on the patio weeds.

You can tell I'm bored can't you? Anything in the house that stands still is going to get washed at this rate 🤣.

It's boiling hot in the garden so my washing is drying like lightening. It's far too hot to sit out there as there's no shade in our garden ☀️. Lots of our neighbours seem to have paddling pools in their gardens (I spy from my bedroom window 😉). I expect they'd be at the beach or an outdoor swimming pool under normal circumstances 😥.

I did my C25K this morning before it got too hot. Can’t believe the weather for early April, love it 😎

You’ll be doing your Saturday saunter again when this is all over.

Do you find the boiling water helps with the weeds?

You have been a busy bee. It’s a good feeling to get on top of things. I had a bit of a cleaning day yesterday....I’ve just got my kitchen to give a real deep clean but since I want to get builders in once normality reigns again. I’m a bit reluctant to doo much more than keeping it hygienic.
Had a lovely day in the garden pottering and went shopping with no queues 👍

Wow! You are powering through your jobs. I have no motivation when it is hot so have practically done nothing at all!
Today is supposed to be lovely as well.

Thanks everyone :). I get bored and depressed if I sit around, so I love getting through a to do list. Sometimes I wish I was better at relaxing though.

@beanielou Yes the boiling water kills the roots of the weed so no need for chemicals. It's a Bob Flowerdew tip.
