There is something very satisfying, HH, hearing about you making your home environment tidier, more organised, job by job. I can almost see it in my mind's eye when you describe the things you do. They might seem mundane activities, but you have a gift for description that elevates them beyond the domestic grind... Are you getting food delivered as you haven't been out for three weeks? Do you feel fed up with being at home so much, or don't you really mind?

Onebrokelady said:Glad you went out in the garden Hairy, it looks lovely 😊, I pulled myself together yesterday and got the house sorted, then today at work we only had two patients on the whole unit so I got into a bit of a cleaning frenzy, one of the nurses told one of the doctors not to sit at the desk because I would be wiping him over with an anti bac wipe 😂 it's weird because I have loads of motivation at work, we have a huge cupboard where all our medical supplies are kept and I spent one day last week taking every item out one by one, checking the expiry dates and replacing it all in the correct places, people tend to just dump things on shelves so it was a mess, it looked lovely after and I'm pleased to say was still tidy today 😊
. It's definitely looking much better now.
I'm glad you had a quiet day at work, although it can be a bit boring if you're used to the day flying by when you're busy. Well done for sorting out the cupboard at work.

I couldn't get to sleep for ages last night as I was missing my mum 😥, so I woke up late this morning. I could have easily sat around feeling sad today, but I didn't want to do that so I forced myself to go into the garden.
I weeded the last two borders and raked over the soil a bit. I filled two buckets with weeds. It looks much tidier now and you can see the actual plants now they're not camouflaged by rampant weeds 🙂. I'm glad I've done it but I feel quite tired now as it's strenuous work.
I sat in the garden for half an hour afterwards, but I wish our neighbours weren't so noisy 😡. They have a dog that barks a lot and screaming children. The woman has a really loud voice and a loud laugh, plus she plays music in the garden and sings along to it loudly. Her husband has a motorbile that he tinkers with and runs the engine while he does it. Plus he was talking loudly on his phone for ages in the garden this morning. So let's just say it's not very peaceful in my garden at the moment 😡. The house next door is a rental and the neighbours seem to change every twelve months, but this new lot are particularly noisy. I'm thinking of wearing headphones to cancel out their noise, although I would really prefer silence in the garden. Anyway that's enough wingeing about the neighbours!
I feel tired but bored at the moment, so I'm hoping coming on here will make me feel better. I feel a bit Sundayish ☹ (even though it's a Monday). I think I'll go out for a walk tomorrow as I've been in for six days and I'm not used to that so I think it's getting me down a bit.
I hope everyone is having a good and safe Monday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hi HHD
Hope you and the family had a lovely Easter weekend. I hate noise that I have no control over, it really stresses me out. Your neighbours would make me want to move to the middle of nowhere but your idea of wearing earphones is much easier lol. I suppose things like this are just more noticeable as everybody is home and the weather is really nice so lots of people are enjoying it while they can. Are you back in school next week or does the rota give you some more time off? Have a lovely evening. xx

I've adapted to this new way of living through necessity, and apart from being initially angry with DH for self-isolating himself from me for 2 weeks, I've just got on with it. If you have no choice, what's the point in fretting about it ? I think I'm getting fitter with my now-up-to-half-an-hour on the exercise bike daily !
Mind you, I'm in the doghouse here again (!!), because our phone bill arrived and I'd once gone over the one hour limit so there was an extra £5 to pay. Must keep a better eye on the time when talking to my daughters.
Your neighbours sound very thoughtless. I know I've come across on other sites such comments as 'have you forgotten what it's like to be a child ?' and similar, but I was never allowed to rush about and shriek. No-one I knew was. It didn't stop us having a lovely time, but interfering with other people's pleasure was an absolute no-no. So we've got lots of fabulous Samaritans helping vulnerable people with all sorts of things, and still the selfish few who care for no-one but themselves. I think the balance is with the former, fortunately !6 -
I don't think I could cope without a peaceful garden. I'm lucky on that sense XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x6 -
I hear you on the noisy neighbours Hairy! I bought some noise cancelling headphones as the girl in the flat above mine is noisy. However these were mainly so I can concentrate WFH. I really don't see why I should have to wear them out of work time just because she is so thoughtless. Mind you she's been better since I shoved a note through her letterbox the other night!😡
Enjoy your walk tomorrow. It'll do you good. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks all of you 🙂.
DH and the DSs refuse to sit in the garden because our walls are only about four feet tall so there's no privacy and the new noisy neighbours are not helping. To be honest it's not the children I mind, but the parents are even noisier than the children and are old enough to know bettter . We're saving up to get fences put along the top of the walls to make it up to six feet tall and DH says when we have the fences he'll sit in the garden with me. So I don't sit out there that often as it's not much fun on my own 😒.
Anyway I know I'm lucky to have a garden as I can dry washing in it and it gives us a nice view from the kitchen window 🙂.
I rang my Dad earlier and spoke to him for about half an hour and I also messaged my sister and my aunt, so that made me feel a bit better. I think I'm missing seeing people. I know I've got DH and two DSs, but I feel like we're running out of conversation and I miss seeing other people as well.
Oh dear I am in a whingey mood today! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
