But I can't work out where I would be on the list as I have asthma, but I'm slim and very physically fit and active for my age. What number would I be?
I think DH would be a 3 as he has diabetes and is not very fit, but he can do everything for himself without needing help.
You say you have asthma but has it been diagnosed by a medical professional? I know lots of people who say they are asthmatic but they've never been to a GP about it, just suffer breathing difficulties occasionally such as at hayfever time. Is your condition being monitored by someone at your GP surgery (ours has a specific asthma clinic one day a week). Do you need to carry and use inhalers? Sorry, didn't mean to give you the 3rd degree but maybe you could rule yourself out of the asthmatic group. DH 'had'it a few years ago. He was seeing the GP about something else and it was mentioned. He was prescribed an inhaler ( the blue one, can't remember it's name) on repeat prescription but rarely collected it as he didn't need to use it much. Years later he went for a check-up for something else and the GP told him he wasn't asthmatic after all and he's never used an inhaler since. He occasional has a slight breathing problem when they are harvesting all around us but takes that as one of the 'joys' of living in the countryside.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8946 -
Happy belated birthday Hairy, it sounds like you had a lovely time seeing as you are stuck at home,I can also assure you you do not look like you are on the wrong side of fifty 😀xxOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945

That's exactly the same as me OBL. I have an inhaler, but only because colds always used to end up as chest infections.
I was thinking of ordering some plants as well Hairy. I want to get planting. My tree at the front is a blossom tree and is currently in full bloom with white blossom. It is a gorgeous tree to be looking at this time of year and smells amazing when I leave my house. It never fails to make me smile every morning when I open my curtains. x

Starting afresh.

Wishing you all a good day. Stay safe xxx. I'm using the emojis that are available on my tablet as the ones provided on the forum seem a bit limited. In the panel at the top (as you post) is a smiley face and if you click on it they seem to have a limited number of emojis there in a drop down menu). I'm using the ones on my tablet as there's more variety. I do miss the old MSE ones though like the Eek emoji, the Lol emoji, etc.
Stepdad is busy gardening and says they have a lot to do around the house, so he seems to be coping. I said let us know if you need anything, but their cleaner lives in their village and has offered to pick up bits for them.
I hope your boiler keeps going! Definitely best not to have anyone in the house as you say.
We're lucky that it's warm and sunny here, definitely Springlike 🌞.
Your birthday sounds lovely and will certainly be one to remember!
Stepdad being has married again is a good thing in lots of ways as it might have been a big responsibility and worry for you and DH if he was still living on his own at the moment.
I hope the Chancellor's plans for the self-employed will help you and DH and take some of the pressure off.5 -

Yes I would be worried about stepdad being lonely if he lived alone so it's good that he has company now.
The chancellor's plans may help if we can survive until June, but it's definitly better than nothing 🤔.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
