Thanks everyone

World book day went fine and the children seemed to like my Burglar Bill outfit. The children were very excited and difficult to manage though on that day!
Unfortunately I developed a cold on Wednesday night so felt tired and unwell on Thursday and Friday. I had to go to school though as I won't get paid for the TA cover if I don't actually do it. I was in a different class again on Friday as another TA is off with stress.
Luckily it's the weekend now. I haven't gone for my Saturday ramble as I feel too exhausted and ill with this cold. I'm just sitting under a blanket reading and watching telly. I'm supposed to be going to a friend's house for a get together tonight but I've said I can't go as I wouldn't enjoy it feeling like this. At least I'll save money on buying wine and nibbles to take, but I'm sorry I'm not well enough to go as I haven't seen these friends for ages
. We're going to stepdad and wife's house tomorrow for lunch so I'm hoping I'll feel well enough to go after another night's sleep.
DH and I need to cut right back on spending as we're running out of money. It's two weeks and a half weeks until I get paid again and DH is hardly bringing any money in at the moment. We just did a Mr T order which was £80 but that should last a while. We stocked up on pasta, rice and oats as that's always useful. I've got £100 in my account left from my wages now so I need to make that last as long as possible. Staying at home is the best way to save money so I suppose that's a good side effect of feeling ill 🤔.
I hope everyone is having a good Saturday.

Coronavirus is a little bit worrying. Italy seem to have put half their population into quarantine now! I read today that children and women seem to be less likely to die of it because of the different way their immune systems work. I hope DH will be okay as he has diabetes. I have mild asthma but I'm very healthy apart from that (if you don't count my constant head colds).
The children at school definitely need to be taught to wash their hands. I found out on Friday that two children NEVER wash their hands with soap at school as their parents told them not to use the soap at school as they have eczema and are allergic to it 😱😱😱. The mind boggles 😱. So the teacher decided they had to use soap as they were going to be handling food in the lesson and food poisoning is worse than eczema! The parents will probably come up and complain now 🤣.
I hope the school doesn't close because I won't get paid if I can't go in and I need the money. The only precaution my school seem to be taking is to pay the cleaner extra to come in early every day and check that all the soap dispensers have soap in them.
I feel a bit less unwell today after resting all of yesterday. We're going to stepdad's for lunch so I want to buy a small birthday cake and some daffodils on the way as it was his birthday recently.
The weather is bonkers again today, heavy rain 🌧 sunshine 🌞 and now heavy rain 🌧 again!
I hope everyone is having a good Sunday so far.

Hi HHD
Sorry to read you weren't well enough to go to your friends, but good that you're able to make lunch at your stepdads.
I'm just holding on the fact that for most people it will be like having flu and hopefully they'll be able to ride it out at home. But I can understand for people with underlying health issues it must be a worry. I have some myself but my head is well and truly stuck in the sand and I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Have a lovely time at your stepdads and enjoy your lunch. xx

I worry about Mr SA catching the virus with his compromised immune system. In his favour as he doesn't really go anywhere he's practically self isolating anyway. He seems to have a permanent cold/cough/sore throat.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope you feel better soon xx
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
