I think that’s a wise decision to get yourself in a better state of health before venturing to work. Couldn’t remember whether you take multi vitamins - might be worth investing in some if you don’t. Hope you feel fighting fit soon.
Thanks Milann. I do take mulitvitamins believe it or not, although they don't seem to be doing me much good. On the other hand I might be worse if I didn't take them.

I would take tomorrow off if you're no better in the morning, you need to be firing on all cylinders to deal with kids. Is it just since you started working at the school that you started picking up all these bugs? Kids are always spreading things around and you might not have built up full immunity to their various bugs yet. When my kids were little I was always picking things up from them.
It's funny when you're poorly you can't remember what it feels like to be well. Hopefully it won't be long now.

Thanks SA. I was hardly ever ill before I worked with children. Now I'm ill all the flipping time. Although I do think the stress of losing my Mum lowered my immunity and I've never been so ill as I have been this autumn term
. At least the spring term is shorter, less hectic and hopefully there may be less bugs going around.
When I'm ill I worry that I'll never ever get my energy back. I always have done in the past, but I've never been ill so often as this last term and I've never been ill between Christmas and New Year before.
I love storage and believe you can't have too much. I like to have a place for everything. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hi HHD
Sorry to hear you're still not well, it really seems to have got a grip of you doesn't it
I second what everybody else has said about taking some time off. Forcing ourselves into work when we're not 100% can sometimes end up meaning we have to take more time off than we would have done if we'd just taken a couple more days to recover properly.
Hope you start to feel better soon. xx0 -

Thanks TF2. I feel really relieved now that I've decided not to go in tomorrow. I was absolutely dreading it because I feel so tired, which isn't like me because I love going in normally.
Every time I feel a bit better and go out somewhere it sets me back and I feel exhausted the next day, so I've obviously got a way to go before I'm back to normal. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I've decided to add a new goal to my list which is to buy some vegetarian cookery books in the charity shop and teach myself a few nourishing recipes that aren't too tiring to cook. Maybe if I try to cook something new on the weekends I could build up a small repetoire.
MY GOALS FOR 2020
- Finish my Level 3 course
- Get a full time job
- Try & relax more so I'm ill less often
- Tidy & de-clutter office
- Get fence put around back garden
- Buy a foot rest for DH & I
- Go for more walks with DH
- Spend more time with family & friends
- Go to Pilates more regularly
- Start planning next Christmas now
- Buy less clothes
- Build up emergency fund
- Save spending money for Scotland
-Buy some vegetarian cookery books and learn a few recipesFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I love making potato wedges, which are very simple to create and also really tasty. There's no peeling involved either.
I use herbs and spices that I have in the cupboard mixed with olive oil to make a bit of a glaze. I sometimes put the odd bit of chilli powder in if I want them to have a kick. I always use turmeric as it is good for you, some cumin, coriander and then mixed herbs blend. You can make it with anything in. If I want them quicker, I part boil them, but usually just roughly chop potatoes. In a baking tin put the olive oil and herbs and spices. Slowly add the potatoes mixing them well with the herbs as I go along to make sure they all get covered and cook in the oven on 180 for 35-45 minutes dependant on size. If I want them extra crispy, I might up it to 200 for the last 5-8 minutes.
During cooking, a stir them around once or twice to make sure they all still get coated. I find it very tasty, and satisfying because it has so many herbs that have good things in. I have done it with parsnips, mushrooms, tomatoes as well before now. Basically any veg you want. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Awww, sorry you are still feeling poorly, HHoD, I think staying off work tomorrow is an excellent idea. Sometimes these viruses can hang around a lot longer than we'd like. Your idea about getting some charity shop vegetarian cookbooks is a good one. Have you got Rose Elliot's little paperback called (I think) 'Cheap & Easy Vegetarian'. I use that for a few standard recipes, including a nice warming winter bowlful made from butter beans, veg, cheese, etc. The standard old Cranks recipe book is good too - the original version which came out in the early to mid 1980s. I use that loads. I'm not vegetarian, I just eat lots of meat free meals as well as meat & fish.
