Not sure if I said this earlier, but this is by the far the longest, most tiring, and most stressful term out of all of them. Put this with illness, dark mornings, dark nights and the stress of Christmas and it is a recipe for disaster. Add in excited children and it becomes even more difficult.
I have known many a teacher break at this point in the year. Next week will soon be here and then it starts to settle again after Christmas.
I hope you get a better sleep tonight. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.

Not a moany post , just as it is.
A lot of friends who work in schools find this the hardest term of them all
Last posting date for second class post is not til the 18th which is next Wednesday so plenty of time to write cards
I have cut way way down on cards this yearSun_Addict wrote: »Firstly great news about DH and the extra money coming inA bit of breathing space for you.
Hope you feel better soon, I know of quite a few people not well at the moment, hopefully everyone will be tickety boo for Christmas
Although it must be nice working with young children this time of year, I suppose their excitement must be wearing. I can understand how it must be stressful.
I might sound jaded but for the past few years I just haven't felt Christmassy, I don't know why, I keep trying.
Anyway hope you get a good night's sleep xxNot sure if I said this earlier, but this is by the far the longest, most tiring, and most stressful term out of all of them. Thanks for the sympathy forum friends
. I feel much better today. I think I just hit a tiredness wall yesterday. I woke up at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep until 3.30am last night as my mind was busy worrying about lots of things. But despite this I feel more like myself today so I must have slept well when I was asleep.
I spent the morning doing some craft activites for a wall display by myself and then helping the children make reindeer and penguin cards in the classroom which I enjoyed. Lunchtime was dry for once, although there was a biting cold wind so I'm thinking I need to buy a new scarf to keep my neck warm. My new coat is lovely and warm though. Also I've been offered some cover for next Wednesday morning which is a lot better than nothing :T.
When I got home I decided to tackle the Christmas cards as that's one of the things I've been worried about, so I've written 26 cards this afternoon. That may not sound much but my fingers feel sore now. That is all the ones I need to post written now so I just need to write the addresses on them, buy some stamps and they are good to go :T. I have a few local ones to write and some to write for people at school, but those are less urgent as they don't need posting.
I definitely have a cold coming on though as I have a sore throat, am headachey and feel very tired and achey. But despite that I feel more cheerful than yesterday so I must have slept well. Moods are a weird thing.
DS1 has gone to a wedding in Bristol and will stay the weekend. Whilst DH and I are going to the SE tomorrow to fetch DS3 home from uni. I'm not looking forward to the long drive, especially with a coldbut at least I'll be sitting in a car and not running around herding children from A to B. I'm looking forward to seeing DS3 and he'll be trapped in a car with us for six hours
.
I hope everyone is having a good Friday(apart from poor Sun Addict who I know is having a rough time
).

I hope you have an uneventful journey tomorrow and that all DS3 goods go in your car. Are you staying overnight again ? The weather in the North is awful, rain , rain and more rain.
There are so many people around it's nigh on impossible to avoid germs , and working with children as well.
Good to hear that DH has brought some money in to help the kitty.

Thanks Sunshine. We're going there and back in one day as we can't afford to keep staying overnight. DS3 only has to bring what he needs for a four week holiday so he can leave most of his stuff in his accommodation.
It's true that all the eccinaccea in the world can only do so much in a hotbed of germs :rotfl: .
The money hasn't come in yet, but it's been promised to us so fingers crossed! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. What a rotten time of year as well to have it happen.
Take care of yourself xx0 -

Hope your journey goes well and that the enforced long hours with DS3 mean you get a good update on his life away. Or perhaps you'll both nod off and poor DH will driving in silence !
So what I want to know is why I always seem to be wearing dark trousers when I'm splashing icing sugar around (one Xmas cake and 15 cupcakes's worth !), and for those of you who wear glasses - well you know about the haze !!!0 -

Had to laugh when I read this, Elizabeth:rotfl:. Not sure why I found it funny though as I know just what a pain it can be. I don't do much baking (using icing sugar anyway) now the children have flown the coop but I empathise totally with the glasses problem:eek:. My bugbear is the rush of steam whenever I open the door of the fan oven or open the tumble dryer mid-cycle. My glasses are constantly getting steamed up:mad:0
