Great news on the sale.
Hope wet playtime goes well.
Thanks Beanie. It was dry yesterday at lunchtime suprisingly

Absolutely teeming with rain here today and very windy too. Good idea of yours to plan for all eventualities at playtimes:T. I think the forecast for Election Day is pretty bad with sleety snow threatened for our area:eek:. I'm working as a poll clerk for the day but don't think the money will come in before January:(. Shouldn't grumble, it's a very good earner but it's a very long day:(
Thanks FS. I think we're all fed up with rain .
Evening HHDExcellent news about your husband's work :j hope it helps you both breathe a little easier over the Christmas period.
I've not written one card yet. I'm usually pretty quick off the mark with them but this year I thought I'd wait and see if I was only getting them because I was sending them, secretly hoping that was the case so I wouldn't have to write as many. Sadly not - I have a pile building up nicely behind the clock so I'd better pull my finger out :rotfl:
Bet you're getting really excited about picking DS up now aren't youxx
Thanks TF2. It will certainly make Christmas less stressful and more enjoyable

Great news about DH's sales and the money coming in. Wet playtime is an absolute nightmare at times. I hope they managed to contain themselves, They are getting more excited by the day at the minute. x
Thanks Nicnak. I am getting quite good at wet playtimes now with practise but it is more tiring.
It sounds as if you’ve been busy at school again. Have you managed to watch any Christmas shows from various classes. I’m lucky when I’m there as I get to watch them when the children I’m supporting are in the hall watching. Many of the TAs end up staying in the classroom doing jobs/marking or generally just catching up with themselves. I bet I’ll have missed them all though by the time I get back.
Not long until you pick ds up - will he have loads of washing....I’m pleased those days are behind me now.
I have watched year one and two rehearsing and they look very cute. Some TAs take work into the hall with them to do while they're watching it.

I haven't done any cards yet but I HAVE composed the Xmas letter, which I exchange with about 7 or 8 others.
We have DGS overnight tomorrow - complete with Calpol and cough medicine for his cough/cold
Thanks Elizabeth. Enjoy having DGS. Hope his cough gets better soon.

I had fun at school decorating a drawing of a local landmark with some children for a wall display
. After that I watched a Christmas performance rehearsal and one child was sick on the stage . Then later on another child was sick in the dining room . A staff member was feeling unwell too.
Unfortunately it was chucking it down with rain at lunchtime so the children had to stay indoors  but I'm getting quite good at stage managing wet playtimes now with practise. After lunch they could go outside luckily as it stopped raining.
When I got home I quickly had lunch and then dashed into town with DH, DS1 and DS2 (who wanted to come at the last minute) to do a bit of Christmas shopping. I'd had enough after an hour so went to Costalot to sit down and wait for the others. I feel like I'm fighting an infection at the moment as I don't feel quite right and I'm tired and yawning no matter how much sleep I get
but I'm functioning at the moment. Hopefully yet another early night will help me fight whatever it is.
I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday.

Evening HHD
I hope you're not coming down with something. You sound so busy all the time, I find myself feeling exhausted just reading about what you do each day.
I guess the long journey to pick DS up has some plus points in that the journey is an enforced rest period for you. Look after yourself. xx

Hope you're soon feeling as though you've fought off whatever is dragging you down HH - I have a sneaking suspicion that all the scrapping and bickering about the flipping election isn't helping a lot of people at the moment - so maybe the general feeling will improve after today!
