Hi HHD
Your de-cluttering seems to be having a knock on effect across the MSE world
Funnily enough I cleared some things of DS's a few weeks ago and while he was happy to let most of them go he also wanted to keep 2 swords and a wooden shield. It must be a boy thing
Have a lovely day. xx

Hi HHD

It does often work like that, if every time you move an unnecessary item to rubbish/recycling/charity you think of HH !
For a very long time, I've had a very conscientiously houseproud friend (who is, nevertheless happy to visit me in my clutter!), and whilst I don't want to spend my life cleaning (whoever got to the end of their life & wished they'd cleaned more!!), there is one small thing I do in 'her honour'. When I've finished a milk (glass) bottle, I wash and rinse it thoroughly, and dry it before putting out for the milkman, just as she does. It is barely a molecule in the ocean, but I think of my lovely friend when I do this.
Strangely, she has apparently often said she wishes she could be as 'relaxed' about housework as me - now that's really funny !!!
Now perhaps we could all do a mini declutter, even if only 5 items, and think of HH.
Obviously minimalists are exempt from this suggestion :rotfl:0 -
Wow more decluttering
It makes you feel so much better when you've had a good declutter, I bet you're noticing the benefits. I bet the CS is mainly stocked by your things :rotfl:

Well done with all the decluttering HH. Do you find it seems to make a huge difference and then you get used to the change and it still looks cluttered and on and on. I find it gives me such a pick up when my mood drops if I declutter.
I was wondering how you were elizabeth so good to hear you are ok and the op went well.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I did shoes today. There are about 10 pairs to go to one of those charity bins you see at supermarkets. I thought HH would be so proud!!

Even though my declutter challenge ended on 31st July, HHoD, I'm still finding things which can go. I think I was so focused on decluttering my allotted number of items each day, that I am still wired to spot oddments of clutter.
It's so satisfying, isn't it?
Sounds like you are still really in the zone with it.

:rotfl:. I'm not a minimalist but clutter does stress me. I want my home to be like the William Morris quote, only containing items I use or consider beautiful. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I was wondering how you were elizabeth so good to hear you are ok and the op went well.. I do find that to be true that I de-clutter, it looks good, but then I start to find it cluttered again. Maybe we're just raising our standards each time .

I'm glad you're still de-cluttering Foxgloves. It really does lift my mood when I de-clutter and it's slightly addictive.
