    Thanks Candy :)

That's a fantastic idea for stashing something for safekeeping - better than those fake baked bean tins!

OMG!!!! My friend had me searching around bootfairs this weekend (have been around six!) looking for jars as she was planning on doing jars with garlic and veggies etc in them (for xmas pressies). She's going to love the links that have been put on this thread - many thanks!!!!!!!!!
:j Bought all my presents for this year (birthday and Christmas) now starting on next years!!:j

Got all the stuff for the 'safe keeping jar' and just had a little try........got a sandwich spread jar..........loo roll middle (had to make it thinner and shorter) got a bit messed up trying to do the bottom of it then found I can use the base of a tea light ......got plenty of them that are empty.......got load of dried pulses I can put in and ...........job done ! Only thing that bothers me -I can see my son or grandkids tipping the jar upside down to get something out and half the dried pulses (or whatever I use) falling out..............lol - unless I pack them in really tightly.
Course............I could save myself the effort of making yet more 'pickled bums' for grandson and pop a tube in the middle of all the 'bums'............no one would think of looking in there and they wouldn't fall out either............lol

candy - can't post a piccy as don't half all the hi tech stuff to do that -maybe just as well...............come to a stand still as I've no more loo roll middles and really need to start again and work around the size of the tea light holder so it fits nice and snug. So, I still have empty jars, loo roll middle thats too small and with no bottom..........and thats as far as I've got.
Honest my little room here is such a state with so many things half baked !
I've got a box full of jars and empty cappacino boxes and a cornflake box ...........intention being to use the jars for gifts in a jar (speaks for itself really), cover the cappacino boxes, punch holes and the top, pop in some ribbon for a gift box............and have a go at making a paper file out of the cornflake box........................lol and thats just for starters.............:rotfl:
