What is classified as "emergency" situation for LL/LA to enter?

What outcome are you looking for? Yes the LA was out of order for agreeing to change the inspection to Tuesday and doing it on Monday anyway but what do you want to happen now?
Tbh, I don't know. The plumber who came has used up all our kitchen roll and left a dirty footprint on carpet. It seem very unfair LA can do what they like and their reply is even more upsetting. I wish there is somewhere I can make a complaint and they will be told off.0 -
The LA should have a complaints process and if that doesn't work you could escalate the matter with whichever redress scheme the LA is registered with. That's if you want to take things that far.0

Thank you, does escalating complaints to such scheme make any real difference to LA at all? I mean, does LA really care if they were told they are wrong? This particular incident is not an huge issue but it's not the first time they done me over.0 -
An overdue gas safety check is not a reason for emergency access. Landlords are responsible for completing the check but competent ones plan ahead and arrange access in good time.0

I'd be inclined to write to the landlord regarding this.
It is possible that he/she isn't aware that the LA isn't managing the property properly.0 -
No it's not an emergency.can anyone tele me where I can find information on what classified as Emergency situation which LL/LA can enter property without permission?
I got a call from LA Friday afternoon telling us Gas Safety Check is expired on Saturday and they will send someone on Monday to get it done. I told them it's not convenient and it will have to be on Tuesday which I can take a day off. LA said ok.
However, just leant plumber already came on yesterday (Monday), entering the door with agent's key when no one is in. I am very unhappy about it, called LA, they apologies for the inconvenient caused but said it is an emergency and they can enter the flat without permission.
Is it really an emergency?
Change the lock today and it wont happen in the future.0 -

my contract say I can't change the lock without giving them a set of key.
Thanks, I dunno why I didn't see this, I googled it before coming here.
So? Your contract could say you must wear a pink frock every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
there is nothing they can realistically do about it except evict, which would be stupid0 -
Shame that stack of £50 notes went missing when he was there....0
