okay so it's been 40 days from the date I sent the letter now but only 21 days from the date the cheque money came out of my bank account but still no response otherwise from barclaycard, do I need to wait until 40 days after they took my £10 for a list of my charges or do I now need to take further action? do I ring them directly or go to someone else? thanks :0)0

Confused!
Can I only reclaim credit card charges for the last six years
Thanks0 -
You can claim further back if you have the statements but be aware you will probably have to file court papers before they pay up.0

Hence they have been applying there fees....However as of this forthcoming friday i will clear the balance and cut the card up...
If i can get some fees back the it will be a small victory for me

They can reduce your credit limit whenever they want ... but should provide notice I suspect; refer to your specific terms and conditions.
If they didn't provide notice, then that would be cause for complaint. I'm sure if they agree, they would refund any charges incurred as a direct result of their failure to advise you of such reduced credit limit.
However, you not receiving such notice may not necessarily be the same as the company not issuing such notice.
Your failure to receive such notice not once, but twice, seems somewhat suspect. If the company successfully argue that they did send the notice, you should report the apparent theft of your mail to your local Royal Mail delivery office, and also give serious consideration to reporting the matter to the police."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Once the organisation receives your request it has 40 calendar days (or 15 school days if the request is to a school) to get a copy of your information to you.
Of course it is difficult to prove the date the organisation received the request (unless you senyt it with a proof of delivery), but generally Royal Mail gives guidelines on when they expect to deliver mail sent, I think first class is the working day following the working day the mail was considered to have been posted, and a bit later for second class.
Refer to the Royal Mail website for full details.
Whjatever it says, it won't be 19 calendar days for either service, but there is no rush for the company you contacted to bank the cheque either; I think most banks will accept then up to 3 months after issue, and some even later.
Probably worth chasing the company concerned first as a final reminder/chance before escalating the matter."Now to trolling as a concept. .... ThanksThis is a step-by-step guide, including template letters, to force your current or old credit card provider(s) to repay the last six years of late payment fees or charges for going beyond your limit...
...
You need to find all the fines you’ve been charged by each credit card. You can go back six years in England and Wales or five years in Scotland; these time periods are limited by law. ..."Now to trolling as a concept. .... 6 years previous (plus a bit for luck) would mean 1999."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
