  • Scarlett,

Having just read through the whole lot from the beginning I thought I would message you to let you know how well I think you are doing.

You've come a long way since your first post in October which is an amazing effort.

I do have one suggestion for you:
You can use www.mysupermarket.co.uk to do your online shopping (If you don't already). If you usually shop at Asda, but have a Tesco or Morrison's nearby, this is quite handy. You do your shopping as usual and the website keeps checking your shop with the other supermarkets. It will also suggest changes to your current shop such as changing a branded item for a own brand item.

Its also clever enough to recognise when buying a multipack might be cheaper than buying a smaller quantity of the same product.
Good luck with the moneysaving, it's something that I also need to do.

    Kerry

Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

    Hi Lexa,

Thanks for thinking of me :)

Things are VERY different now from when I first posted this thread (funnily enough I actually searched for it and read it again from start to finish the other day and it made me a bit emotional actually :o ). We're giving back the house and moving into rented accomodation on Wednesday coming, then we're going BR next month. It was the only way for us, even with all the changes we made they weren't enough to bridge the deficit we had between the incomings and outgoings. My "BR Diary" is over on the BR forum if you wanted a read of it :o

Thanks again for thinking of me, I'm really touched :)

    Thank you SPL :)

It wasn't an easy decision to make, it took a LOT of soul searching and talking (oh, the endless hours of talking) and in case anyone is concerned, we did take professional advice from CCCS. It's been a difficult couple of months, making the decision to 'let go' of this house was one of the hardest I've ever had to make and for anyone who thinks BR is "the easy way out", well I'd just say spend a couple of days in my head from the last few weeks and THEN condem me.

I am looking forward to a fresh start but I'd be lying if I didn't say that the next couple of months are making me feel slightly anxious. I just want to get into the new house now and get my family settled in and then prepare for the BR next month.

The BR forum here has been my saviour through all of this, there's some VERY special people over there :)

    Scarlett xx

i am so glad you have found support on here - and just remember it will always be here

you have done the bravest thing by addressing the issues head on and you sound incredibly balanced to have gone through all the difficult discussions that are needed, at home and outside - i am sure as you say it was not easy

i am not denying that there may still be tough times but it sounds like you have a wonderful family and fabulous children and i wish you lots of happiness in the future

    take care x

Oh god, maybe it's the early hour or the fact that I'm pretty emotional at the moment anyway, but I'm filling up here now :o Thank you so much for your kind words. Some happiness in the future is something I'm very much looking forward to :)

Thank you again. The support on here and the difference it makes should never be under-estimated, I wish I'd found this place years ago :)
